Level 7 Nekoht Quests - Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

This page is a list and walkthrough of all the Level 7 Quests give by Nekoht in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Nekoht is a unique NPC to Unite and is only available in this game; once you finish all of the Elder Quests she'll start giving you additional quests.

I've included all of the relevant information for each quest on this list such as which zone it takes place in, what type of quest it is, whether or not you're required to complete it to advance and (of course) how to complete the quest. Below is an example that will serve as your Key for this page. If you're confused as to what any of the categories on this page mean take a look at the Key below.

#1 Bullfangos in the Night

Type: Slaying Quest

Location: Swamp (Night)
Goal: Slay 20 Bullfangos. All of the Bullfangos you need for this quest can be found in the outside portions of the map. Really all you need to do is run from area to area killing enemies until you're done - piece of cake.

 

#2 Whack a Shakalaka

Location: Arena
Goal: Slay 15 Shakalakas. The first half of this quest is a piece of cake - Shakalakas will spawn 1 - 3 at a time and you'll have to take them out. Once you've defeated about 10 of them King Shakalaka will spawn and you'll have to dodge/deal with him as you finish the remaining 5. As you can imagine the quest will become a lot more complicated once the King spawns.

 

#3 Carnivore Carnival

Location: Arena
Goal: Slay 20 Velociprey. Easy quest, there is only one area so there's no hunting to find any of these monsters.

 

#4 The Beating of Royal Wings

Location: Jungle (Day)
Goal: Slay the Vespoid Queen (1800 HP). In order to make the Vespoid Queen spawn you'll have to defeat 20 or so Vespoid enemies throughout the map. Once you've killed enough of them the Vespoid Queen will spawn in area #6.

#5 Secret Request: Hypnocatrice

Location: Great Forest (Day)
Goal: Hunt the Hypnocatrice (2860 HP). At the start of the mission you can find the Hypnocatrice in area #4 at the northern point of the map. It stays in this location for about a minute before starting a patrol which takes it through areas 5, 6, 1, 2 and back to 4. From what I have seen it stays in each area for about a minute before flying to the next. Once it gets back to area 4 it seems like it starts flying to random areas instead of following a set route.

Location: Old Desert
Goal: Hunt the Cephadrome (1920 HP). You can find the Cephadrome roaming back and forth between areas 2 and 7 on the map; it swims through these deserts until you decide to disturb it.

Location: Old Swamp
Goal: Hunt the Gypceros (2400 HP). When the mission begins you can find the Gypceros in area 9; for the most part I always see it go to area 4 next after which it will start picking locations at random. I've seen the Gypceros visit areas 9, 4, 2, 5, 10 - it spends a short amount of time in each area before moving to the next.

Goal: Hunt the Purple Gypceros (2800 HP). You can find the Purple Gypceros in area 8 when the mission starts, it will spend about a minute here before traveling to one of the following areas at random 4, 2, 1, 5, and 6.

Location: Old Swamp
Goal: Hunt the Basarios (2400 HP). When the mission begins you can find Basarios in area #7 at the northern most portion of the map. It will stay in this area indefinitely until you visit and wake him up.

Location: Old Jungle
Goal: Hunt the Khezu (3200 HP). At the start of this mission you can find the Khezu in area 4 on the map. It will hang out here for about a minute before moving to areas 8, 9 and 10. The Khezu only visits these areas on the entire map and (at least at the start of the mission) he will follow this same patrol route each time.

Goal: Hunt the Red Khezu (3600 HP). You can find the Red Khezu in area 6 at the start of the mission. It will spend about a minute here before moving to one of the following areas 1, 3, 7 and 8. After watching the Khezu for awhile it seems like it moves to these areas at random and doesn't have a set in stone patrol route.

Location: Swamp (Day)
Goal: Hunt at least two Congalalas (2520 HP each) before the time is up. The Congalalas that you need to kill for this mission spawn in area #8 on the map. If you take too long to engage the Congalala in this area it will eventually move to areas 6, 5 and 4 after which it seems to pick an area at random to visit. From what I have observed the Congalala can visit areas 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and of course area 8. As I said earlier, once you kill the first Congalala you'll want to return to area 8 which is where the next will spawn.

#13 The Meeting of Daimyo

Location: Jungle (Day)
Goal: Hunt at least two Daimyo Hermitaurs (2160 HP Each) before the time is up. When the mission first begins you can find the Daimyo Hermitaur in area 10 - it stays here for about a minute before moving to area 3 which is where you'll be intercepting it 99% of the time. After hanging out in area 3 for a minute it will start its patrol route which takes it through areas 9, 1, 2 and finally back to area 3. Once you have defeated the first Daimyo Hermitaur the next will spawn in area 10 and begin the same exact rotation.

#14 Epic Hunt in the Jungle!

Location: Jungle (Day)
Goal: Hunt all of the Large monsters before the time is up. For this quest that includes a Yian Kut-ku (880 HP) and a Daimyo Hermitaur (1320 HP). At the start of the mission you can find the Yian Kut-ku in area 6, it will stay here for a minute or so before traveling to areas 5, 4, 3, 2, 9 and back to 6. I've watched the Yian Kut-ku follow this patrol route multiple times, once it returns to area 6 it seems to no longer have a patrol route and starts selecting random areas. Once you have defeated the Yian Kut-ku the Daimyo Hermitaur will spawn in area 10 and hang out there for about a minute before it moves to area 3. I have seen the Daimyo Hermitaur do two different things - sometimes it will follow the same patrol route from the previous quest through areas 9, 1, 2 and back to 3. Other times it will travel back and forth between areas 3 and 4.
