God of War: Chains of Olympus is an action-adventure video game developed by Ready at Dawn and Santa Monica Studio, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released in 2008 as an exclusive title for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) platform. As the third installment in the God of War series, God of War: Chains of Olympus serves as a prequel to the original God of War game, and follows the story of Kratos, a Spartan warrior and the protagonist of the series. Kratos is tasked with a mission to save the Greek gods from an impending disaster, and his journey takes him to various locations in ancient Greece, where he battles against powerful foes, solves puzzles, and unravels a dark mystery.

The gameplay of God of War: Chains of Olympus features a combination of hack-and-slash combat, platforming, and puzzle-solving elements. Players control Kratos as he battles against hordes of enemies, solves puzzles, and navigates through challenging environments. The game also introduces new weapons, magic abilities, and gameplay mechanics, adding depth and variety to the combat and gameplay.
