Daelan's Tale - NWN Henchman Quest (Chapter 3)
Daelan's Tale is the third and final quest that's given to you by Daelan, one of the available Henchman in the Neverwinter Nights Main Campaign. Every Henchman will have a unique quest that will become available from talking to them during the chapter. These quests are locked behind character levels, if your Henchman tells you that they will "finish the story later" it means you have to level up more.
Note: If you did not complete this Henchman's quest during Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 then it will not be available to you during Chapter 3. Also, if you did not keep their quest reward with you from Chapter 1 and 2 then they will be unable to upgrade it and may not offer you the quest either.
For this version of Daelan's Tale you're tasked with retrieving the Uthgardt Ceremonial Spear from Zokan Thunderer. You'll find Zokan Thunderer in the Elk Tribe Keep which is part of the Investigate the Elk Tribe and The Siege of Fort Ilkard side quests. There are 2 different approaches you can take with these quests, you can decide to kill Zokan Thunderer and obtain the spear that way or help him and he'll give it to you.
Check out the walkthroughs I have for those 2 quests for more information about how to resolve it peacefully. As for the location of the Elk Tribe Keep, you'll find it in the Fort Ilkard - Homesteads map, it's in the northeastern portion of the map. Standing outside the Elk Tribe Keep you'll find an Elk Tribe Warrior who will drop a key when killed that allows you entry.
Warning: Don't kill the Elk Tribe Warrior outside of the Elk Tribe Keep unless you want to permanently make the entire keep hostile to you. Obtain the Feather of Peace from Uncas inside the Orc Lair first if you want to take the peaceful approach.
Once you've obtained the Uthgardt Ceremonial Spear all that's left for this quest is to turn it into Daelan. This will complete Daelan's Henchman quest chain since there is no quest for any Henchmen during Chapter 4.
Note: While you're in the Elk Tribe Keep you should also grab The Ashes of Running Wolf for Tomi's Tale. You can find these in an Urn in the northern portion of the map.
