Tomi's Tale - NWN Side Quest (Chapter 3)
Tomi's Tale is the third and final quest that's given to you by Tomi, one of the available Henchman in the Neverwinter Nights Main Campaign. Every Henchman will have a unique quest that will become available from talking to them during the chapter. These quests are locked behind character levels, if your Henchman tells you that they will "finish the story later" it means you have to level up more.
Note: If you did not complete this Henchman's quest during Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 then it will not be available to you during Chapter 3. Also, if you did not keep their quest reward with you from Chapter 1 and 2 then they will be unable to upgrade it and may not offer you the quest either.
For this version of Tomi's Tale you're tasked with obtaining the ashes of a great warrior. You can find the ashes that Tomi is after inside of the Elk Tribe Keep map; it's an Uthgardt Fortress found in the northeastern portion of the Fort Ilkard - Homesteads map. This fortress is involved in the Investigate the Elk Tribe and The Siege of Fort Ilkard side quests.
Depending on the approach you would prefer to take, you can either enter this fortress as an enemy or a friend. To enter as a friend you'll first need to visit the Orc Cave and obtain the Feather of Peace from Uncas. Check out my Investigate the Elk Tribe walkthrough for more information about that. It doesn't really matter which approach you take, it's completely up to you.
Once you're inside of Elk Tribe Keep you'll want to search an Urn in the north-central part of the map for The Ashes of the Running Wolf. A screenshot of the exact location I am talking about is shown below - click on it if you need it larger.
All that's left of the quest after obtaining this item is giving it to Tomi. This will complete your Henchman chain of quests with Tomi since there is no quest with any Henchman in Chapter 4. Before leaving the Elk Tribe Keep you may also want to grab the Uthgardt Ceremonial Spear for Daelan from Zokan Thunderer. This item is part of Daelan's Tale, another Henchman quest.
