Daelan's Tale - NWN Henchman Quest (Chapter 2)

Daelan's Tale is the side quest involving Daelan, one of the potential Henchman in Neverwinter Night's Main Campaign. Each Henchmen will have their own quest during most Chapters which will typically involve finding a single item for them during the Chapter. This version of Daelan's Tale is for Chapter 2 of the game. If you'd like to see Daelan's Tale (Chapter 1) or Daelan's Tale (Chapter 3) follow the links provided.

Note: If you did not complete this Henchman's quest during Chapter 1 then it will not be available to you during Chapters 2 or 3. Also, if you did not keep their quest reward with you from Chapter 1 then they will be unable to upgrade it and may not offer you the quest either.

For this version of Daelan's quest you'll have to obtain a Greataxe from Gorkan inside of Mutamin's Dungeon Level 3. You'll visit this dungeon while doing the North Road: Mutamin's Challenge side quest; unless you are on this side quest this dungeon will not be accessible to you. This dungeon is found in the basement of the Green Griffon Inn which is on the North Road map.

As aforementioned you will find Gorkan on the 3rd floor of this dungeon, he'll attack you shortly before the final room of the dungeon and one of the items on his body will be a typical Greataxe. When you inspect it you'll see some additional details about it being a special notched Greataxe but only after inspecting it will you figure out that it's unique.
