Valley of King Xorbb - RoF Leveling Guide

Valley of King Xorbb Outside Area

The Valley of King Xorbb is one massive zone with multiple layers to it. The upper layer is mostly an outside zone, which is shown in the map above. This area is good for small groups/boxers as small as 2 or 3 people. If you're a larger group you'll be able to move down into the lower portion, which I will cover later in the guide.

As you can see the map above has three blue circles. Each of these locations is a place that you can setup camp. If you make camp in one of the two circles at the bottom right of the map it'll allow you to farm the Stormwheel/Frothtooth nameds.

To be honest with you both these nameds are quite annoying to kill but they're oddly the most commonly farmed ones in upper Xorbb. Stormwheel has a DD Stun and Frothtooth charms someone temporarily. I guess the reason for that is despite these nameds being annoying they're still better than some of the others!

The next camp I have listed for the outside part of Xorbb is Ixyl the Claymaster. This guy is the northern blue circle and he's a bit easier of a named than the other two enemies - the downside being his camp is a bit harder than the other two named camps.

Ixyl calls forth some adds while you're fighting him that can be instantly killed if you stun, root or mez them. That's all there is to this named! I caution you to NOT pull the Krondal named to the north unless you know what you're doing and are prepared for the fight. He's a real pain in the butt and will wipe the floor with a smaller, weaker group.

The outside portion of Xorbb has a few more named enemies which you can see on my map above - I've more or less tested every camp and let me tell you that the one that looks like it would be the best (the middle portion of Xorbb where Gruden the Pulverizer is) is the absolute worst spot.

Onto the lower portion of Xorbb! Using the map above you can see a few different camps. The first one I'll talk about is the one all the way to the north in green. Before that though I would like to go over the difference between outside Xorbb and inside.

You see my fellow Norrathians, outside Xorbb is like a field zone with regular enemies that do basic things like auto attack you - the inner Xorbb is like a nightmare from hell. It has enemies that mind control you, fear you, mez you and all sorts of really annoying stuff that gets you sent back to the Soul Binder in a jiffy.

The few locations I have marked on my map above are the least annoying camps in the entire zone. Starting with green up top you have Mindseep and Facet of Fear. Mindseep can be a bit of a hassal depending on your group since the longer he is left alive the more he'll hit you for with his spells.

Facet of Fear you can basically just roll over he doesn't do anything too unique. Moving a bit further down you have Tunnelslither. This is probably the easiest camp down in the sewers and the most profitable one if RoF is the current expansion. The reason for this is he drops a Helping Hand which is a caster weapon aug.

Finally the last camp worth mentioning and also the hardest camp (out of the ones I chose) in the sewers is the southern most orange circle on my map above. From this location you'll be able to pull Corpsehide and Body of the Many. Corpsehide is by far the easier of the two nameds down here as the only thing he does that you have to worry about is a 70k DD Spin-stun to your tank.

Body of the Many though... Woah boy this guy is a real pain in the butt! What he does is summons a bunch of little adds to attack you while you're fighting him - these adds are killable and doing so will damage the named but he'll DoT you if you kill them.

It's better to just go all out on the named enemy and kill him as quickly as possible which almost always despawns the adds. The main issue with this boss is that the adds hit pretty darn hard for how many of the little guys he summons. If you use your cooldowns improperly you'll get rolled.

Corpsehide

That's all there is to The Valley of King Xorbb! There's a few other camps which I have seen people frequent, Companion of the Dead is a common one I still see people farm today but know nothing of the camp myself. The other camps in this zone I can assure you blow are Xorlex the Seer, Xolok the Blind and Terrorfist - these guys are terrible to farm! Mez/fear etc etc.

Additional Information

- All Rain of Fear zones can be reached through Shard's Landing once you complete the attunement quest for that zone's portal. If it's your first time coming to the Valley of King Xorbb you'll need to take the long way here.

- If you're having trouble managing your Inventory Space I highly recommend you invest in some Extraplanar Trade Satchels which are 32 Slot Tradeskill Bags. Alternatively you could also buy Unexpanded Tailored Backpacks as well. Though, the Backpacks will likely be more expensive. Follow the links provided to learn more about each item.

- If you'd like to see an older guide I wrote about the Sewer Camp in Valley of King Xorbb follow the link provided. Additionally there's one more guide that I preserved and archived, Valley of King Xorbb Stormwheel Camp.
