State of Decay 2 is an extremely unique sandbox zombie survival game; unlike the first game in the series this one has no story at all and is designed to be played any way you'd like. The guides that you'll find on this page cover a lot of the core mechanics and everything you need to know about them as well as what the best weapons are, why they're the best and how to find them. I do have a full walkthrough for the game as well which breaks down how I typically play through the game when I am not on the hardest difficulty.

State of Decay 2 Rare Weapon Locations

There are Rare Weapon Caches/Crates scattered across every map in State of Decay 2 and they have a chance (typically a good one) of holding one of the better weapons in the game. It's strongly recommended that during your play through you visit all of these locations and grab what they have.
