Treasure Hunter Quest (Forest & Hills) - MHFU & MHF2
Treasure Hunting missions in this game require you to collect as many items as you can within the 20minute time limit. You can collect items by defeating monsters or gathering at the various locations around the map; all of the gathering locations for this map are shown in the screenshot above.
All of the loot that you can find during this mission is randomized and different from what you would typically find. That includes the resource nodes that you gather from and the items you carve off monsters. For these missions your goal is to collect as many items as you can and turn them in at Treshi who will be standing at Base Camp waiting for you.
If you need supplies you can find them in the blue chest at Base Camp, this chest will be filled with various supplies for every adventurer type. Despite having every slot filled in this chest there will typically be low amounts for each item which will put you into a situation where you will need to craft more when needed. For example, you may run out of Hot or Cold Potions and have to craft another to make it through the full 20 minute quest.
For this reason Treasure Hunting missions offer you a different type of experience than the typical hunting missions. You will have to memorize various crafting recipes (or keep a list close by) so that you can quickly make what you need without wasting much time. In addition to memorizing normal crafting recipes, Treasure Hunting Missions will come with their own set of recipes that you can only craft during these missions. Thankfully this only includes a handful of items which I will list below.
