Shevat 3 Rocks Side Quest - Xenogears
This Side Quest is available during our first visit to Shevat (Walkthrough Chapter 3), this quest becomes unavailable once you visit Solaris on Disc 1. All you need to do for this quest is find 3 different rocks around Shevat. Two of the rocks (Dawn Rock, Dusk Rock) can be found at any point without the need for any flags. Dark Rock is a bit more complicated than that because it requires a dialogue flag and a bit of... fishing.
Dawn Rock: The easiest of the rocks to find is the Dawn Rock, it's on the Shevat World Map in the southwest.
Dusk Rock: You'll find this rock in the Aphel Aura portion of Shevat. When you enter one of the buildings you'll see a doll sitting on the table, interact with it for the rock. A picture of the doll is shown below.

Dark Rock
In order to get the Dark Rock you'll first need to talk with the pink Chu-Chu that is sitting ontop of a lamp in the Chu-Chu room. You'll find this room in the Aphel Aura portion of Shevat, it's actually the same location you turn in the 3 Badges for that Side Quest. if you'd like to see a picture of the Chu-Chu that we need to speak with check out my 3 Badges Side Quest page and scroll to the bottom.
After speaking with this Chu-Chu the next step is to ride the elevator down from the Chu-Chu area to a new location with a big fountain in the middle. Exit this room to the west and you'll find an old lady on a balcony. Speak with her and buy the Spider Web she's selling for 50G. We'll need to use this item to fish in the big fountain for a fish.
Jump to the top of the fountain and interact with it to start fishing. You'll get a scene, mostly of Fei waiting for a bite. When you get prompted always choose "reel it in", sometimes your line will break and you'll lose the fish. If this happens buy another Spider Web and try again.
Eventually you'll catch the fish and it will have a Dark Rock in its mouth!
Note: If you catch the fish and Fei releases it without getting the Dark Rock it means you haven't talked to the Chu-Chu ontop of the lamp in the Chu-Chu room. You don't have to land on the lamp to speak with him, as long as you get close enough to him while you're slipping down the lamp to open the dialogue menu, you're good.
Our Reward
Once you have all 3 of the rocks it's time to collect our reward! Right when you enter the Aphel Aura portion of Shevat you'll run across an elevator that you can take down to a room with a Memory Cube. Go down the stairs here and you'll come out to an area pictured below. The elevator here is 'broken' until you collect all 3 stones, then you can use them to activate it and ride it to the area above.
Ride this elevator to the room with your rewards!
You'll be taken to a small room with (seemingly) nothing in it. Inspect the shelves/objects in the room to collect your rewards (pictured below). There's a Chu-Chu Doll you can find too that comes with some dialogue from Fei.
Return to Xenogears Walkthrough (Chapter 3)
