Unprompted Questions - Persona 2: Eternal Punishment
I decided to put together a list of all the questions and answers that I saw while playing Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. There isn't a list online that I could find of all the questions/answers and I did something similar for Innocent Sin when I played that game. I am a guide writer and it's my job to document stuff like this so... All of the questions and answers on this page can be accessed through the Contact System in the game.
Some questions are asked randomly and will select a random person in your party to answer. Other times questions are triggered depending on the reaction of the demon or the person talking to him. For example, Katsuya only questions will typically involve cop/criminal justice elements (since he is a cop). Baofu only questions will involve his recording device or the voice(s) used.
You can also get questions which are triggered based on what emotion you make the demon feel. If you make it angry it may reply with an Anger Response or if you make it interested or happy it may ask you a normal or philosophical question. Each question will have (normally) 3 - 4 different answers that you can choose.
From my understanding, the monster's personality traits affect what emotions certain answers trigger... but in my experience this is not always the case. Some answers are more random than others and I believe that some are hard coded to always give certain outcomes. For example, if a demon asks you if they're an idiot and you say yes... I find that 70% of the time or more this results in a negative (Anger) outcome. However, there's usually a small chance that the demon may show interest in your boldness.
Another thing I have learned is that (almost) every answer has two different outcomes, one positive and one negative. That means it's going to trigger either Happy/Interest as a positive outcome or Anger/Fear as a negative outcome. I've found a few answers that only triggered one emotion type... but I have never found an answer that has given 3 different emotional outcomes.

Question about God
They say, that "God" created humans but I think that's just a fairy tale... Cause humans are so stupid!
God didn't make humans right?

Whenever I answered with #1 I got either happy or anger depending on what my RNG roll was. Answer #2 always got me an angry response, I am unsure if there is another emotion it can even give... The third and final answer always triggered interest or happy for me.
Question about aliens
You know, I read a book, and it said that "Aliens" are coming.
Who are the "Aliens"?
1. Extra-terrestials
2. Fictitious beings
3. Demons
4. My uncle
Demons ask me this question randomly when they're being talkative. It almost always came unprompted. When you answer with #1 you'll typically get fear or interest as an emotion. I find that it's probably about 50/50 or fear triggers more than interest. Choosing answer #2 triggers either anger or interest, it depends on your RNG. Answer #3 normally got me happy or fear when I tried it on demons.
Finally, my favorite answer #4 got me interest most of the time. I feel like I got interest 70% of the time or more when I chose answer #4. It definitely performed better than answering with #1...
Question about aliens #2
Oh by the way... I got a question for you humans!
Hey, are "aliens" human?

Much like the previous question about aliens, this one was always given umprompted. #1 triggered fear or interest for me depending on what my RNG roll was like. When choosing answers #2 or #3 I normally got interest or anger depending on if my roll was successful.
Question about your nerves
I'm telling ya... Dad told me that humans have some nerve. It's true! It's true!

Choosing answer #1 got me fear or happy. Answer #2 got me happy or angry and answer #3 got me angry or happy. The final answer (#4) was fear or anger.
Question about boys and girls

The #1 answer triggers anger or interest for me depending on the roll. When I answer with #2 I almost always get fear as a response. Answering with #3, 'Body Shape' results in either anger or interest and finally answer #4 was anger most of the time but I got an interest response from it too.
Question about human appearance differences
Even I've been stumped by this one. I just can't tell the difference in the appearance of you humans...

I normally only got this question when doing an Ulala and Maya duo pair. The first answer got me happy or interest, the second one got me fear or happiness and the third answer I got anger or happiness. I did this testing mostly on an (Arg Glm Fool).

Answering with #1 or #2 always got happy or angry depending on the RNG. Both seemed to have similar odds every time I tried them. When I did answer #3 'That's right' I always got interest or fear, depending on what my roll was like (interest being the good roll and fear being the bad roll).

I've really only ever seen this question given by slime enemies... maybe it pops up elsewhere though I am unsure.

In my experience answering with #3 "If you melt, we'll find out." almost always makes them interested. They're usually surprised by your knowledge.
Question about skeleton in human school
Oh by the way! I found a skeleton in a human school! I bet he was burned at the stake!

From my experimentation, answering #1 gave either a fear or angry response. When I did #2 it was always angry because you were lying or happy because what you said was funny. For answer #3 it gave interest or anger depending on the personality type and character testing.
Question about scaring a kid
Yesterday, a kid was washing her hair and I tapped her on the shoulder... She was surprised and started to cry.
So why do you think she cried?
1. It's because you're a demon.
2. It's because you scared her.
3. Because she hates to wash her hair.

I find this question normally comes from female demons... Answering with #1 will usually result in interest if they believe you or anger if they do not believe you. The second and third answers "You're not cute" and "I'm not into you" will typically get a happy or anger answer depending on your RNG. Our last answer (#4) will be either interest or fear depending on your roll.

In my experience, picking option #3 'Ominous dark path' always has the best chance in raising their interest emotion.

I get this question unprompted from some types of demons. When I answer with #1 I get either interest or fear and choosing answer #2 is either interest or anger. Choosing answer #3 is always fear or anger, so that is one you'll never want to pick. Last but not least, #4 always gave me happy. I tried on different enemies 3 different times and it was always happy even when I used save states.

Ok so this one is kinda funny, I could make all the answers give different emotions when abusing save states but during actual play it seemed like it always worked one way... whenever I picked English the demon got angry with me. Whenever I picked Chinese it was interested (usually a comment about there being so many Chinese people and it gives them a lot of people to talk to). Picking Japanese made it fearful because of the difficulty and Esperanto was either interest or anger.
