P.O.W: Prisoners of War - Miscellaneous Game Genie Codes (USA)

This page contains the Game Genie codes I have for P.O.W: Prisoners of War (USA), a game for the original NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). If you're playing with an emulator you'll typically be able to put these codes into the program directly through a built in option. Any of you who are old school and playing on a physical console, you'll have to purchase a physical Game Genie cheat device to use these codes.

Can't pick up any power ups or weapons: STALES

Cell door explosion is silent: KITTEN

Changes order of enemies up a bit: TAZESS
An enemy on the first stage which keeps throwing grenades will prevent progress

Disable title demo (will still show cutscene screen): SUXGAAVT

Enemies disappear when shot or when a knife is thrown at them: EEZLUT

Fight on an all black screen after cell door explosion / Some enemies are wearing different colored uniforms: TOGGLE
Has other effects too, can't progress past level 1 though

Gun always shoots blanks: POLITE

Kicks don't hurt enemies: STYSIA

Music is missing some beats: TOTALS

Music is off key: TGZELS

Music is slightly scrambled: ISTAKE

Music sounds completely different: UUPEAZ

Unarmed green soldiers hats flash blue: GAZLLO
