Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos - Glitch Game Genie Codes (USA)
This page contains the Game Genie codes I have for Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (USA), a game for the original NES (Nintendo Entertainment System). If you're playing with an emulator you'll typically be able to put these codes into the program directly through a built in option. Any of you who are old school and playing on a physical console, you'll have to purchase a physical Game Genie cheat device to use these codes.

Any time you use ninja magic it always comes from bottom right corner
Act intro music is weird: YXZUZI
Adds extra sound effects / beats to music: KKPAAP
Adds tapping sound to drum beats / Weird SFX: STAAIK
All stages scroll similar to Stage 2-1: KPYSIE
Bats fly straight at you: AIITTT
Can't jump far when jumping to the right / Enemies walk backwards: POZVTX
Changes player. enemies, & other objects into different things: GOLPAX
Can't attack and it's very glitchy
Collecting weapon items will usually change the colors of the stage, player, & enemies: KGAPOO
Cool Colors #1: NIPPET
Cool Colors #2: NPPPET
Different colored background & orbs appear black instead of red: VLAPOT
Different sound made when ninja weapons hit enemies: SPITTI
Sounds the same as when you hit a boss
Enemies act strange: LUGGAG
Fewer enemies & orbs: SALKTY
Gaiden is all that is displayed on the title screen: IOGSTV
Press Start when the demo plays and it will make the letters red
Get thru Stage 2-2 quicker: TSTUPG
When you jump from high areas you'll sometimes grab onto something and be advanced one screen
Invisible walls & platforms: TOPPIY
Items disappear when they hit the ground: KYLOPG
You will also hop after collecting an item
Items fall through the ground if you don't grab them in air: KTZOAG
Jason Voorhees character changes when he jumps: PTPTPT
Lightning & flashing on all stages: ZXPPAK
Mixed up stage: GETGET
Most enemies & orbs can't get near you: VEZSAK
You will push both to the edge of the screen
Most green enemies have an orange tint: XTAKEN
Most walking enemies are lower than normal: ELGPPZ
In most levels you'll have to duck to hit them with your sword
Most walking enemies fall through the floor: EAGPPX
They will fall through the floor and right off the screen
Most walking enemies move much faster: NYPOPX
Music at title screen / weird stage music: LITEPS
Music is scrambled: AOPAGI
Music plays mostly drum beats / very few sound effects heard: PSPEAA
Music sounds very different (almost unrecognizeable): EETAPU
No enemies: AITSIK
This means no bosses spawn either
No music/ Few sounds/ Enemies disappear: LTIEPU
Random enemy & orb placement: SILKYN
Most of the enemies and orbs will appear at the start of the stage
Ryu Always uses himself as a weapon: AIZPEP
Ryu will throw himself instead of a Ninja Star at enemies
Score adds up much faster after an enemy boss death: PEAKIT
Snow falls on the 1st section of Stage 1: OSIAXU
Some enemies appear green instead of red: ZNZOZO
Some enemies appear red instead of green: ZOZOZO
Some enemies move slower: ELPOZX
This only works on enemies that move from left to right
Stage flashes with different colors: AEPPPK
Similar to the lightning in Stage 3-1
Stage intro & cutscenes are different colors: STAZIK
Stage Warp?: XOASVU
You will grab onto an invisible edge and start sliding, this will make you appear at different parts of the level.
This code will occasionally freeze the game
Stages are set up differently (not visiually): ONZPKI
Watch enemies to see where the platforms end
Strange Music: ESTATE
Strange music & sound effects: OSTEAG
Strange new worlds: TOPPIN
You will appear on a new stage as you progress through level 1. May occasionally freeze the game
