Elder Dragons Hitzones & Weaknesses - MHFU & MHF2

Fatalis Elder Dragon

Elder Dragons are dragons that get their own classification separate from everything else. The thing that makes Elder Dragons unique is how strong they are and a lot of the time how their quests work. I think Kirin is the only Elder Dragon on this list with a normal quest, the other dragons on this page all have unique quests which operate a bit differently than other quests.

What I mean by this is, most Elder Dragons will flee the fight if you reduce their health enough during the quest. All damage and breaks done to the Elder Dragon will be carried over into the next quest; this allows you to much more easily beat the Elder Dragons since you'll have a break between each attempt.

Kirin Hitzones:

Kirin Hitzones

Kirin is vulnerable to Poison and Sleep. The Kirin has two different staggers depending on your position when you stagger it, if you are behind its front legs the stagger will last longer.

Kushala Daora Hitzones:

Kushala Daora Hitzones

Kushala is vulnerable to poison, it will also negate his Wind Barrier. You can also break the horns to negate the Wind Barrier. Flash is another ailment that he is vulnerable to. Don't try to attack Kushala with ranged attacks when the Wind Barrier is up because it will reflect/deflect all attacks.

Rusted Kushala Daora Hitzones:

Rusted Kushala Daora Hitzones

Rusted Kushala Daora is vulnerable to all of the same things the regular Kushala is vulnerable to and it works the same way with Wind Barrier.

Chameleos Hitzones:

Chameleos Hitzones

Chameleos is vulnerable to both Flash and Sonic bombs. Flash will last about 30 seconds and Sonic can be used to make him visible if you hit him while he is in the middle of an attack with one. If you break Chameleos' horn it will make him visible more often. Breaking the horn and slicing off the tail will make him visible almost all of the time.

Lunastra Hitzones:

Lunastra Hitzones

Lunastra is vulnerable to Poison and Flash. Poisoning her will stop the Fire Aura skill and prevent her from activating it until the poison expires. If you break her horns she will no longer be able to activate Fire Aura.

Teostra Hitzones:

Teostra Hitzones

Teostra works more or less the same exact way as Lunastra, he's vulnerable to both Poison and Flash too. When poisoned he won't be able to use his Fire Aura until the poison expires. If you break the horns then he will never use Fire Aura.

Lao-Shan Lung Hitzones:

Lao-Shan Lung Hitzones

There is not much extra to say about this boss, Rocks that fall on Lao-Shan Lung deal 5 damage each.

Ashen Lao-Shan Lung Hitzones:

Ashen Lao-Shan Lung Hitzones

There is not much extra to say about this boss, Rocks that fall on Lao-Shan Lung deal 5 damage each.

Yama Tsukami Hitzones:

Yama Tsukami Hitzones

Much like before there isn't much to say, the belly will shrink when it takes damage.

Fatalis Hitzones:

Fatalis Hitzones

If you pull Fatalis through the gate on his map it will fall and stun him + deal 200 damage. He can be poisoned, paralyzed and put to sleep but not KO'd.

Crimson Fatalis Hitzones:

Crimson Fatalis Hitzones

When Crimson Fatalis becomes enraged he enters armor mode.

White Fatalis Hitzones:

White Fatalis Hitzones

The White Fatalis enters armor mode at 50% HP and doesn't leave it until 20%
