Dark Cloud was one of the first action RPG games that incorporated town building into it; this was long before 'building' exploded as a popular genre for games like Minecraft and Valheim. Throughout this game you will be tasked with rebuilding 4 different towns as well as 2 other "things" that I won't spoil for you here.
Aside from rebuilding towns in this game you'll also be tasked with exploring various dungeons - all of which are randomly generated each time you enter into them. This means that each time you enter a floor of a dungeon it will be completely different than the last time you were here. Almost all floors in all dungeons are like this, giving Dark Cloud a decent amount of replayability.
