Parasite Eve Day 2 Walkthrough

Day 2 begins with you getting a Mod Permit from your boss, you will regain control of Aya in this same room. Our first destination is the Locker Room, you'll find this by going through the first door on the left in the hallway (before the stairs). Search the lockers in the Locker Room for a Cm Vest 1 and another item.

Next, you'll want to go down the stairs and through the door at the bottom of the screen. This is the Weapons Department and it's a location we'll be visiting from time to time during the game. Speak with Wayne behind the counter for a short scene, during this scene you will be asked to store some of your items with Wayne. Bank your two SP (Special) key items since we won't be needing them anymore. Feel free to store anything else you'd like.

You'll also get the M16A1 weapon from Torres, this is a new weapon for you which you'll want to equip and upgrade before we leave. Torres will ask you to use your Mod Permit, when you choose which weapon to use it on you'll get a tutorial about how upgrading weapons work. Upgrade whatever weapon you want, at this stage it's mostly just experimentation so you can see how everything works.

Before you leave this room you'll want to grab the Tool from the chest next to Wayne. This is the item we'll be using to make our weapons stronger. You will be returning to this weapon room in the future when you get Junk to get some of the best weapons in the game, for more information about this side quest check out my Weapons From Junk (Ultimate Weapons) Guide.

To continue with the story you'll want to head upstairs and talk with the kid in red at the top of the screen, this is Daniel's son. Once the conversation is over go south and speak with the female officer, she will let you know that Captain Baker is waiting for you. Return to Baker and speak with him, this conversation will lead to a press conference scene after which you'll regain control of Aya in the officer room.

Exit this room and go through the double doors on the right (you'll see an Exit sign by them), leave the police station and select Museum on the World Map. Follow Daniel when you reach the Museum, sign in at the desk and then go upstairs for another scene.

Dr Klamp on Day 2

When the scene is finished you'll be kicked back to the World Map, choose N.Y.P.D #17 to go back to the Police Station. Back at the station go to the top of the screen where Daniel is and enter the room next to him, this is the Conference Room. There will be a short scene in here after which Baker will give you another Mod Permit.

Our next stop is the weapons room again where you'll find Wayne and Torres arguing. Use your Mod Permit to upgrade your new M16 or the armor you got, it's your choice which of the two you do. Exit the station when you're done and you'll get a cutscene followed by some dialogue with Daniel.

Tip: The blue box on the counter and the other box in the top right corner of the Weapons room will refresh each time you leave the police station and return.

After the scene you'll be dumped on the World Map (as if you have a choice), select Central Park. This is our first real dungeon of the game and I recommend you spend a bit of time exploring and leveling up before beating it. In order to advance through this dungeon you'll first need to locate the Zoo Key which is found in a Security Office. From the entrance of Central Park, follow the linear path until you reach the large area where the path splits. The best landmark is a red chest here next to some benches, it has a Tool inside.

There is a door on the left hand side of this screen, enter it and search the desk for the Zoo Key (pictured below). Search the cabinet next to where you found the Zoo Key for an Sp Vest 1 item as well, equip it since it is likely an upgrade.

Central Park Zoo Key

As you defeat enemies you may notice that you're finding a lot of Junk, at first glance these items seem useless but they're actually used for getting the best weapons in the game. Central Park is actually a really good place to do Junk Farming too, but I would recommend you wait to do the farm until later (Day 3 or 5 normally). If you're interested in learning more now check out my Ultimate Weapons From Junk Guide.

Explore the area and gather all the chests you find, when you're ready to continue you'll want to head to the screen with a small lion statue in the top right and a gate in the top left. Head through the gate and follow the path to the amphitheater. Eve will be on the stage, when you get close there will be a cutscene. Leave this area and follow the little girl to the right which leads backstage.

You will have some dialogue with Eve, but not a battle. To continue, exit the amphitheater area and follow the little girl again as she runs west past the burned corpse. Previously this route was blocked off, but now it leads to a new section of Central Park. This part of the dungeon is a maze of paths, but also pretty straight forward. You will see the little girl run down a path and you follow her. She will always take you the correct route for advancing the story, if you want to collect the extra items you'll have to explore the other paths.

Tip: Once you get 3 Tools from the chests in this dungeon and a full inventory I recommend you back track out of Central Park and return to the police station. Bank your Tools and any old weapons/armor at Wayne and exchange your Junk. This will get you some progress towards the weapons I mentioned above and it'll give you an opportunity to grind some levels without it being so boring.

Worm Boss in Central Park

The boss for Central Park is four giant worms which will each grow bigger when one is defeated. Each time they grow bigger they'll increase their health which makes this a battle of attrition. When you're only left with one worm it will start using a new attack which is basically a body slam/swipe. This hits almost every location on the screen so you'll want to try and quickly finish him off at this point.

After defeating the boss heal up and go over one screen to find Eve on a horse carriage. Eve makes you get on the carriage which seems like a really stupid idea considering it's obviously a trap. Once you board the carriage there will be a cutscene followed by the last boss fight of Day 2.

If you are fully healed before the fight begins my advice is to focus on dealing damage to Eve and nothing else. Her attacks are very hard to dodge since you have almost no room in the carriage. Worst case scenario, if you take too much damage you can always use your Heal 2 Parasite Power.

When the fight with Eve is over there will be a cutscene and a lot of dialogue, you'll regain control of Aya on Day 3.
