Da Chao Fire Cavern - FF7 Walkthrough

The Da Chao Fire Cavern is found in the town of Wutai, which is found on the western most continent. For more information on how to get to Wutai use the map on my Wutai Side Quest page. Once you're in Wutai, go out the northern most exit of the town to reach the large rock face, shown in the screenshot above.

Make your way up to the cave entrance that I am standing out front of - that's the entrance to the Da Chao Fire Cavern. In order to extinguish the fires that are blocking the way to the treasure chests you will need the Leviathan Scales which are found in a treasure chest in the Underwater Reactor.

If you missed this item on your first trip through that dungeon you'll never be able to get it again and these treasure chests will be forever lost to you.
