Turtle's Paradise Side Quest - FF7 Walkthrough

The Turtle's Paradise Side Quest is one that begins in Midgar on Disc 1 and can be completed any time during the game after you gain access to Wutai later on in Disc 1. For this quest you need to read 6 different Turtle's Paradise posters scattered throughout the game.

It's possible to permanently miss some of the Turtle's Paradise flyers, specifically the one in Midgar and the one in the Shinra Building can both become permanently inaccessible if you don't grab them one of the two times you come through either of these areas.

There are a few issues with this quest that I have encountered in my many years playing this game. The first is that even if you've read all 6 of the Turtle's Paradise Posters you can't turn in the quest, the guy at the counter will just say something pointless about current ingame events. If you're currently on the Wutai Side Quest or Wutai Pagoda this has been known to happen.

Also, if you've never read the sign out front of the Turtle's Paradise Bar in Wutai, the bartender won't let you turn in the quest. This in my experience is the most common reason that he won't let you turn in the quest. With all of that out of the way, below are the locations of all 6 Turtle's Paradise Flyers for you to find.

 

 

Turtle's Paradise News Letter No 1

The first Turtles Paradise News Letter is found in the Sector 5 Slums of Midgar, right near Aeris's house. Just below the zone line that takes you to the screen with Aeris's house you'll find the house with this Turtle's Paradise News Letter. Turtle's Paradise News Letter No 2

Out of all the Turtle's Paradise News Letters, this is the one that most people permanently miss. Unless you read it on your first run through the Shinra Building during Disc 1 or on your return visit during Disc 2 you can never return here.

 

Turtle's Paradise News Letter No 3

You'll find this Turtle's Paradise News Letter in the Ghost Hotel section of the Gold Saucer. It's right on the wall by the entrance, almost impossible to miss. The only time you won't be able to read this news letter is briefly on Disc 2 when the Gold Saucer is shut down, otherwise it's always available.

 

Turtle's Paradise News Letter No 4

Go up the stairs near the entrance to Cosmo Canyon and into the Weapon Shop. You'll find the Turtle's Paradise News Letter No 4 on the wall right next to the stairs. For more information on where this is I recommend using my Cosmo Canyon Walkthrough page.

 

Turtle's Paradise News Letter No 5

This Turtle's Paradise News Letter is found at the bar in Cosmo Canyon. When you enter the town go left on the screen and into the building behind the first ladder. Turtle's Paradise News Letter No 6

The last Turtle's Paradise News Letter is found inside Yuffie's house in the town of Wutai. You won't be able to get this one until late during Disc 1 and you'll also have to have done the Yuffie Character Unlock Side Quest. After you get the Tiny Bronco on Disc 1 you'll be able to do the Wutai Side Quest which is when you will first gain access to this Turtle's Paradise News Letter.
