Omnislash - Cloud Level 4 Limit Break Guide
In order to unlock Omnislash you will need to participate in the Gold Saucer Battle Square. You can get Omnislash as early as Disc 1 right after getting the Tiny Bronco, however it's much easier and also much cheaper later in the game after you obtain the Highwind.
Before obtaining the Highwind Omnislash costs 64,000 BP; after obtaining the Highwind it's only 32,000. If you win all 8 rounds of the Battle Arena then it'll only take you 6 to 8 runs to accumulate the required BP. To participate in the Battle Arena you'll first need to acquire some GP. For those of you reading this who are still on Disc 2, the Battle Square may actually be challenging for you. However once you obtain Cloud's Ultimate Weapon and you learn some half way decent Materia Combinations, Battle Square isn't going to stand a chance against you.
I've included a list of Materia I recommend you eqiup on Cloud as well as other tips and strategies to help you beat the Battle Square below.

- Double Cut Materia
- Restore Materia
- Enemy Skill Materia
- Counter Attack Materia
- Long Range Materia
- HP Plus Materia x2
- MP Plus Materia x2
- Luck Plus Materia
- Magic Plus Materia
- Slash All Materia
- Added Effect + Contain (paired in weapon)
- Added Effect + Hades (paired in weapon)
- Master Command Materia
- Master Magic Materia
Armor: Mystile
Accessory: Ribbon
Tips for Beating Battle Square
- Use Regen at the start on yourself and refresh it any time you need to
- Added Effect + Contain or Added Effect + Hades will usually paralyze or cause some other status effect that make it so the enemies don't even fight back
- Use Haste on yourself and keep it on for as long as you have Magic Materia
- Have multiple ways of attacking, bring at least 1 Magic Materia, 1 Summon and an Enemy Skill Materia incase one or even two methods of attacking are disabled
