Golden Sun: The Lost Age - Djinni Locations (10 - 19)
This page has the locations of Djinni (10 - 19) in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. I've included a little bit of information with each Djinni as well as screenshots of where the Djinni is and anything else that you need to see (like the puzzle to get the Djinni).
If you don't see the Djinni that you want on this page then check out the next part of the guide - the Djinni you want will probably be there. For those of you who are playing the original Golden Sun and want the Djinni Locations for that game check out my Golden Sun Djinni Locations Guide for that information.
(Part 1) Djinn 1 - 9 Locations
(Part 2) Djinn 10 - 19 Locations
(Part 3) Djinn 20 - 29 Locations
(Part 4) Djinn 30 - 39 Locations
(Part 5) Djinn 40 - 48 Locations
(10) Kindle - Mars Djinni (Gondowan Cliffs)
You will pass this Djinni while traveling through the Gondowan Cliffs dungeon; however you can't get it until you're at the end of the dungeon. In this dungeon you'll find a portion where you must navigate across a tight rope that connects two cliffs. Climb the vine that goes up right next to this tight rope and follow it east to find this Djinni.
(11) Chill - Mercury Djinni (World Map)
This Djinni is found by walking around on the World Map to the south of Gondowan Cliffs and Naribwe. Basically, you'll want to go south as far as you can go - when you reach the southern coastline you'll have a chance to encounter Chill as a random encounter.
(12) Spring - Mercury Djinni (Automatic)
Both Spring and Shade will join you when Piers joins your party. To recruit Piers you'll first need to prove his innocence and free him from jail - then you'll need to follow him to the town of Kibombo. Once here there will be a few scenes during which he'll join your team. For more information check out my Golden Sun: The Lost Age Walkthrough (Part 3).
(13) Shade - Mercury Djinni (Automatic)
Both Spring and Shade will join you when Piers joins your party. To recruit Piers you'll first need to prove his innocence and free him from jail - then you'll need to follow him to the town of Kibombo. Once here there will be a few scenes during which he'll join your team. For more information check out my Golden Sun: The Lost Age Walkthrough (Part 3).
(14) Steel - Venus Djinni (Gabomba Statue)
The first time that you see this Djinni in the Gabomba Statue you'll have to run by him and continue deeper into the dungeon. In order to capture this Djinni you'll first need to reverse the rotation of the cogs in the dungeon, to do this you'll need to use the Pound Psynergy on each of the two pillars next to the flashing cog.
If you're struggling to figure out where this flashing cog is or how to get to both pillars next to it then I recommend you check out my Golden Sun: The Lost Age Walkthrough (Chapter 3) for more information. That guide will help you navigate through the dungeon to this part.
Once you've reversed the rotation of the cogs you'll want to return to the room where you saw the mouse earlier. In the middle of this room you'll find two large pink cogs that rotate off a ledge and into a pit (pictured below). Hop on top of the large pink cog to the left and ride it down to land on the same platform the Djinni is on. From here all you have to do is interact with the Djinni and win the battle to have it join you.
(15) Waft - Jupiter Djinni (Kibombo Mountains)
Enter the Kibombo Mountains from the Kibombo Village side and use Pier's Frost Psynergy on the puddle near the entrance. You can find the puddle by going up a few flights of stairs then going south (pictured below). Once you've done this follow the linear route to the plant and use the Growth Psynergy on that. This will open up the path to Waft, he can be obtained with a simple battle.
Note: If you don't have the Frost Psynergy on Piers or the Growth Psynergy on Felix/Jenna then it's very likely that you need to make some Djinni standby and/or unequip certain Djinni. Piers can use Frost when he is a pure Mercury Adept; this means he needs to have ONLY Mercury (Blue) Djinn equipped to use Frost. As for Growth, you need to put all Brown and one Red Djinn onto Felix or all Red and one Brown Djinn onto Jenna. Still confused? On Felix put every Djinn on standby except Echo and Spark. This will give him Growth.
(16) Char - Mars Djinni (Gondowan Cliff/Madra)
You get Char in Madra but you can't get him until you have Piers join your party later in the game. Once Piers joins you backtrack to Gondowan Cliff - when you enter this dungeon from the Naribwe/Gondowan side you'll want to travel east through the area until you find a puddle. Use the Frost Psynergy on the puddle to create a pillar then use it to jump across.
Slide down and collect the Healing Fungus (pictured below) in this area. We need to give this item to the old man in Madra and as a thank you he'll give you Char. You can find the old man inside of the house just south of the item shop in Madra. If you're having any trouble finding the right building, search the second floors and you'll see the Djinni in the right building.
(17) Mud - Venus Djinni (Gabomba Statue Catacombs)
In order to get this Djinni you'll need the Cyclone Chip which is given to you in Madra upon your return from this statue the first time. You should get the Lemurian Ship too since it will make traveling back to Kibombo much easier as well. Once you return to Kibombo enter the Gabomba Statue via the extended tongue and follow the route down into the catacombs. To enter the dungeon you'll need to use the Cyclone Psynergy near the crater in the large room with the grass on the ground (pictured below).
To reach this Djinni we'll need to use Cyclone near the correct teleporting crater. The correct grass pile is in the one in the northeastern portion of this room; the crater we need is hidden below the grass so you'll have to stand close to the area you see pictured below when you deploy your Cyclone Psynergy. Assuming that you're in the right location you will be teleported downstairs right next to the Djinni.
(18) Flower - Venus Djinni (Taopo Swamp)
You can find Flower in Taopo Swamp, if you don't know how to get to this dungeon or you're struggling with finding Flower within the dungeon I recommend you use my Taopo Swamp Side Quest Guide. That guide will give you step by step details about this entire dungeon, in this section I am going to cover this Djinni only.
Once you find Flower in the dungeon you'll notice a pillar to his right which can be slid over to block off a vent. Doing this will push Flower off his perch and into the pit below. In order to reach Flower you'll want to slide down the slide to the east of this pillar. Don't use the one directly below you because it will put you on the floor below the Djinni. From the eastern slide you can easily jump across the gap to reach Flower and capture him.
(19) Wheeze - Jupiter Djinni (Tundaria Island - World Map)
Wheeze is found as a random encounter in the western portion of the Tundaria continent. If you're getting this Djinni early in the game (shortly after you get your ship) you'll have to land on the eastern side of this continent and travel all the way west to where Wheeze is. You can find Wheeze a little bit southwest of the Tundaria Tower dungeon.
If you're still having trouble finding Wheeze even with my directions I recommend you check out the Golden Sun: The Lost Age Map for additional guidance.
