Luclin Pottery Guide
Pottery is one of the more straight-forward Tradeskills to level in EQ. It is expensive, yes and it is time consuming but there aren't many recipes you have to jump back and forth between. Also once you get your Pottery skill up you can make Golden Idols of <insert deity here> which can be sold to players for usually around 2500pp. Pottery definately is a profitable Tradeskill to raise but from what I've heard it is very costly, so be warned if you're thinking about diving into it. Also, as with all other tradeskills to start off head to your Classes Guildmaster and train the first 21 points.

(Direct Route) Unfired Small Bowl 21 - 102
(Direct Route) Unfired Medium Bowl 102 - 122
(Direct Route) Unfired Casserole Dish 122 - 199
(Alternative Route) Unfired Opal Encrusted Stein 199 - 222
If you decide to go this alternative route then you will want to make the Unfired Opal Encrusted Steins into Opal Encrusted Steins to sell for maximum profit. It is a fairly simple combine which I will explain how to do when I finish making this Pottery Guide.
Note: This recipe will be unavailable on the P99 emulator since Celestial Essence wasn't released until the Luclin expansion pack.
(Direct Route) Unfired Red Ceramic Band 199 - 242

(Direct Route) Unfired Star Ruby Encrusted Stein 200 - 335
This is probably the best route you can follow to max out your Pottery at this point. It will be much cheaper than the Idols and you can sell the Star Ruby Encrusted Steins to boxers or to players just looking to stack resistances. Truthfully, I have seen them sell better than the Idols on some serves (Ragefire, Lockjaw) whether it be the boxers or the Mitigation of the Mighty - that's just my experience.

(Optional Route) Unfired Idol 242 - 282
Now there are a few different types of Idols that you can make for this combine, all of them requires a Cleric, Druid or Shaman to imbue a certain gem for you to use in the recipe. Note that the deity of those three classes does matter in the imbues. The three different gems you will need to be imbued are as follows:
Imbued Emerald - Clerics and Druids who are level 29+ and who worship Tunare can do this imbue. (This is the best route to follow in my opinion) (282 Trivial for Imbued Emerald combines)
Imbued Amber - Clerics and Shamans who are level 29+ and who worship Cazic Thule can do this imbue. (248 is the trivial for this gem, barely above the skill level you'd be starting at.)
Imbued Rose Quartz - Clerics who are level 29+ and who worship Erollsi Marr can do this imbue. (Trivial for the combine using this gem is 255)
(Note that the above three imbues are just the easiest to get, there are more than what is listed above)
Note: This recipe will be unavailable on the P99 emulator since Celestial Essence wasn't released until the Luclin expansion pack.
Once you have whichever imbued gem you choose to use you will want to combine that and the following in a Pottery Wheel
Imbued gem of your choice
Once you have the Unfired Idol you will want to combine it again into an actual idol which can be used by players and sold to them.
(Optional Route) Unfired Idol of <Insert Diety Here> 282 - 300
Since there are so many different dietys you could choose whichever one you want. But for the sake of making this easy, I'm only going to list the Golden Idol of Karana materials.
Imbued Plains Pebble (This is the reagent that will change based on what diety you are doing the combine for)
Once you have the Unfired version of the idol there is only one remaining combine and that is to make it into a Golden Idol of <Diety>.
