Katta Castrum - TDS Leveling Guide

Katta Castrum: Deluge is the entry TDS zone and is a revamped version of the Buried Sea zone with a similar name. There are a few different locations for you to hunt in Katta Castrum, each of them are marked on the map above with a different color.

Before I start talking about each location let me say that this zone drops non prestige gear. That means it will always be more valuable than the prestige stuff dropped in later zones because Free to Play players can only use non prestige gear. Additionally, there is a zonewide rare that drops off all nameds in this zone, Overflowing Urn of Life.

As always, the light blue circle on my map is the easiest camp in the zone. This area is filled with Shissar enemies and you can safely pull them from both sides out of the camp. The named here is Thallus the Whip and if you're curious about his drops check the list below. Mostly single pulls here but you'll get an occasional 2.

The second camp and arguably as easy as the first is the Darkmud Keeper in the northern most portion of the zone. This camp will have a whole bunch of single pulls too and you can camp in a whole bunch of different locations around this general area. This is probably the best camp for soloers or someone boxing one other character.

Finally the last and hardest camp I recommend in Katta Castrum is the large green box on my map above. In this location you'll find two different named enemies, Vizat the Defiled as well as Yulin the Flameweaver. There are a few 2 and 3 pulls over here too and a whole bunch of trash if you wanna pull both nameds at a time.

Thallus the Whip: Fused Coral Claw, Runed Collar of the Combine

Darkmud Keeper: Core of the Darkmud Keeper, Darkmud Crystal Necklace

Vizat the Defiled: Fused Coral Longbow, Runed Shawl of Vizat

Yulin the Flameweaver: Fused Coral Knife, Divine Sigil of Prexus

Along with all of the items mentioned for each of these named enemies; they also have a chance of dropping.. Minor, Median, Lesser, Greater, Glowing Briny Essences. These items are the Rank 2 Spell Runes of The Darkened Sea expansion pack. Ontop of these items the nameds you find will also drop Castaway Armor.

 

Additional Information

- The best way for players to reach this zone is through the Guild Hall, you'll want to purchase a Drowned Katta Castrum Powerstone.

- There are four sets of collectibles in this zone that you can find belonging to the Secrets Beneath the Ocean Achievement.

- The zonewide rare drop from nameds for this TDS zone is Overflowing Urn of Life.
