Degmar, The Lost Castle - TDS Leveling Guide
Castle Degmar is the first Tier 3 zone you come across in TDS and has some of the worst quests in the whole line of progression if you ask me. There really is only a single camp that I can recommend while in this zone and from that camp you're able to pull two nameds. If you can't handle both rooms you can of course just pull one of the two instead.
As you can see from the map above, the blue circle I have drawn is over the hallway between Horthin Blackbook and Commander Alast Degmar. These are the two different nameds that you can hunt while in this zone. Horthin Blackbook is the easier of the two enemies and his entire room is easier to pull.
One thing I have to warn you about in Horthin Blackbook's room though is the ghosts in here mez you. These can get really annoying when you have your tank mezzed and they run around beating up the rest of the group. I'd recommend you have two people who can take some hits with you. Or have the tank inflict a DoT on himself.
The other room with Commander Alast Degmar doesn't have as many annoying ghosts but it does have much harder pulls, including Commander Alast Degmar's camp. Degmar himself is standing on the stairwell with two adds to back him up. Unless you get the adds and him on a different timer it's going to be a three pull which makes things tricky. You'll need mez to take this guy out.

Along with all of the items mentioned for each of these named enemies; they also have a chance of dropping.. Minor, Median, Lesser, Greater, Glowing Briny Essences. These items are the Rank 2 Spell Runes of The Darkened Sea expansion pack. Ontop of these items the nameds you find will also drop Highwater Armor.
This is the Tier 3 armor for TDS and is made in a similar fashion to the Castaway Armor which I have a guide for.

- There are four sets of collectibles in this zone that you can find belonging to the Dwarven Depths Achievement.
- The zonewide Powersource that drops in this TDS zone is Combine Power Shard.
