Datapad Locations: Datapad #8 Location and Datapad #17 Location
The Package begins in a place that may look familiar to you from our third mission, ONI Sword Base. You start near one of the buildings we visited during this mission but it looks quite different now since the Covenant have been glassing the planet and melting the nearby ice.
Our first task of this mission is to clear out all of the nearby Covenant and work our way down the path towards the AA gun. As you are leaving this flooded village down the only path we can go you'll pass by a Scorpion Tank (pictured below) which I strongly recommend you take. If you're playing co-op there is a small group of vehicles around the bend too including two Revenants.
Tank beats everything!
Ride your tank over to the AA Guns which are west down the road from your current position. There will be two AA guns at this location and you'll need to destroy both of them. I recommend you start with clearing out all of the Covenant at this outpost that you can reach with a vehicle. Once that's done head inside of the AA Guns and destroy them the same way we did during the previous missions.
Next objective has us returning to the ONI Sword Base, there will be a lot of Covenant to deal with on the way there including multiple vehicles. If your tank is too damaged I recommend you return to that area with the Revenants that I talked about and grab one of them. Alternatively, you can hijack a Ghost and use that.
You'll find a bunch of turrets and Revenants protecting the front entrance of the ONI Sword Base. Take out as many as you need to in order to reach the front entrance and then open the door to get inside. More Covenant will be in the courtyard, clear them out and head inside of the building.
Go up the staircase with Jackals to reach the next area which is the fancy apartment complex looking thing we visited in the previous mission. Instead of climbing up to the top this time we go through some smashed glass into a new section that has a computer terminal that we need to interact with. There will be a cutscene once you interact with this terminal and you will travel to a new area.

Datapad #17 (Legendary Only): Those of you interested in getting this Datapad will need to grab the Jetpack armor ability to reach it. For more information about where you can find it check out my Datapad #17 Location Youtube Video.
You may recognize this part of the mission as a Firefight map in Reach called Glacier. Halsey's Lab is in the western portion of the area and there are four defense turrets - all of which will be marked on your HUD when you first arrive. For the next part of this mission you'll have a single objective, defend Halsey's Lab.
When you arrive the first thing you should do is visit the four turrets and activate each of them. They will hold off the Covenant on their own for awhile even on Heroic difficulty. Return to Halsey's Lab once all four turrets are active and hit up the weapon racks for any ammo or weapons that you feel you need. Also, if you're interested grab the Jetpack armor ability while you're here. You can actually use the Jetpack to steal a Banshee on this mission! As aforementioned all you need to do for this part of the mission is defend Halsey's Lab. Your fellow Spartans are actually invincible so you'll want to use that to your advantage. They can tank all of the hits for you as you're recharging your shields or reactivating a turret. Actually, on Normal and even Heroic you can pretty much go AFK during this part and let them + the turrets do 90% of the work.

Once you hold out against the Covenant long enough you'll get an update to enter Halsey's Lab. Run inside the front doors that open and you'll trigger a cutscene completing the mission.
