Central Park Junk Farming Guide

There's one more location for you to farm Junk that many would argue is the best location in the entire game. It honestly depends on what your overall goal is, if your only interest is farming as much Junk as quickly as possible then this location is probably the best one there is (rivaled only by the Police Station during Day 3).

This location is Central Park. In particular, the first area of Central Park that you come across where you face off against three bird enemies. If you have Club 2, with the Steal effect you'll get almost double the Junk per clear - upwards of 5 or 6 per fight! You can find these birds all over Central Park, as seen in the screen shot below they can be found in more than just this area.

However, despite the fact that you can encounter these birds all over Central Park I recommend you exclusively hunt them in the first area, shown in the screen shot at the top of this page. The reason for this is there's 3 birds that spawn up here and -only- birds spawn here. Every other area you can get Birds + other enemies, it's best if you only hunt where there's birds.

If you're unfamiliar with how the game works, you can trigger a fight in the area repeatedly by changing screens over and over until you encounter enemies again. This may seem obvious but sometimes you can run back and forth between screens 10 times without triggering a random encounter which, for awhile, made me believe that you had to run across multiple screens to reset the encounter. Add in misinformation online (saying that if you flee from an encounter you'll always trigger the same enemies in the area when you return) and it led me to be confused for two play throughs.
