Persona 2: Eternal Punishment Walkthrough - Chapter 1

Mu Continent is another dungeon that's available to us as a Side Quest in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. The first room of this building is a casino, it isn't until you complete the Abandoned Factory that you can open up more rooms in this building.

In order to unlock Mu Continent's dungeon head inside and speak with the Security Guard (pictured below). He'll give you a rumor about a monster in Mu Continent named Mussie, spread this rumor and you will have access to the back rooms where Mussie (and other) demons are found.

After spreading the rumor, back in Mu Continent you'll need to speak with the girl standing next to the door in the back. She'll explain how this dungeon works... Basically you have a 10min time limit and you need to go in, find the boss and kill it then get out before the time expires. If you leave the dungeon prior to the 10min being up you will reset the timer.

With this in mind, I recommend you go inside of Mu Continent once or twice and explore it/map it out then when you're done with all of that go specifically for Mussie. You can find Mussie on the 3F inside of Trish's Fountain. Before Mussie will spawn inside of this room you'll need to speak with Trish first who is on the southern end of the 3F. Check my maps below for the best way to reach Trish. Basically you go up one set of stairs on the first floor and it's a linear path to Trish and Mussie.

If you go up the stairs shown it's a straight shot to Trish/Mussie

The stairs to the west of Trish's room that go up to the 4F will have an All Incense item to find, which is arguably the best reward for this whole ordeal. I strongly recommend you grab it while you're in here. When you're ready to finish talk with Trish in the southern part of 4F and then go into Trish's room (marked Mussie on the map above). Mussie is an extremely easy fight... beat it then return to the main room of the casino for your reward.

Our reward is some money and the faster we press X the more money we'll get. Honestly a terrible reward in my opinion, if you press the button fast enough you'll get 25-30k Yen somewhere in there. You could probably cheese it on Emulators by turning down the FPS so you get more keypresses per frame.

 

(Second Visit) Mu Continent 3F & 4F

You will unlock another rumor quest at Mu Continent after you complete the Mt. Iwato dungeon. Speak with Fuyuko Tsukikage in the back corner of Mu Continent to learn about the Haunted Taxi in Mu Continent, then go spread this rumor at Kuzunoha. This dungeon works much the same way as it did the first time. Head straight to where you found Trish during the last dungeon and go up to the 4F.

There will be a linear path to a locked door, the code you need to enter is 1342. Inside you'll find the Haunted Taxi, just like before the enemy is extremely weak. Beat it then exit the dungeon to complete your task. Just like before our reward is to spam X to try and make more Yen...

When that's done speak with Fuyuko in the corner again and turn in the item for our real reward, Akashic Ring. You can use this item when making a Legendary Weapon.
