Artifice Crew Skill Guide
Artifice is the construction of Jedi and Sith artifacts, specializing in creating modifications for items, most commonly lightsabers. Players with Artifice will be able to Reverse Engineer their crafted focii as well as the feet and wrist armor as well as discover new ways to improve armor creation. Archaeology is the main gathering skill you will want to have in order to gather raw materials for Artifice and the Treasure Hunting mission skill will also provide you with additional gemstones.
Crew Skills That Go Well With Artifice
Artifice is good for Jedi Knights, Jedi Consulars, Sith Warriors and Sith Inquisitors.
Running Missions To Gather Materials
Artifice 1 - 40
Make 20 of Blue, Green or Red (Critical, Fortitude) Crystal
Materials Required:
You can make any of the colors that you want, it doesn't matter which, just use whatever materials are available to you. All extra items you make use Reverse Engineering on them. It will take about 45 seconds per combine.
Artifice 40 - 80
Make 10 of Might or Resolve Hilt
Materials Required:
If you have Archaeology than you probably know how common Rubat Crystals are at first. This makes leveling through this range a whole lot easier. For any of the hilts you have left over I recommend using Reverse Engineering on them and then selling any left over Rubat Crystals on the Auction House. It will take close to a minute for each of these combines.
Artifice 80 - 120
Make 20 of Blue, Green or Red (Perilous or Resolution) Crystal
Materials Required:
and
Fibrous Nylite Solution
Another recipe where you get to choose which of the items you would like to make. None of the colors are any better than the other when it comes to raising your skills so just use whichever is available to you or whatever one is cheapest. Any of the left over crystals you will want to use Reverse Engineering on and sell keep any left over materials for later or sell them on the Auction House. It will take a minute for each of these combines.
Artifice 120 - 160
Make 20 of Might or Resolve Hilt 8
Materials Required:
Thermoionic Gel Suspension
Again, much like before you have two options for raising your skill here, you can make either a Might or Resolve Hilt (8). What one you make does not matter since they both require the same items. You will want to use Reverse Engineering on everything you make and sell any left over materials that you have on the Auction House or save them for later. It will take roughly a minute and half for each of these combines.
Artifice 160 - 200
Make 20 of Blue, Green or Red (Mortal, Tenacity) Crystal
Materials Required:
and
Thermoionic Gel Suspension
It doesn't matter what color crystal you craft, they all give you the same amount of skill points and they all vendor/dissasemble into the same thing. The Crystal and Prehistoric Artifact Fragment both come from Archaeology, the Gel Suspension is purchased from a vendor or gained from a mid level Archaeology mission. Any left overs you have after crafting use Reverse Engineering on. It will take a minute to two minutes per combine.
Artifice 200 - 240
Make 20 of Might or Resolve Hilt 12
Materials Required:
Demicot Silk
You should know the deal by now when it comes to crafting hilts, you have two choices either Might or Resolve. Both of them require the same items to craft and award you with the same amount of skill points. The Bondar Crystals and Ancient Artifact Fragments can be gathered through mid level Archaeology missions and the Demicot Silk can be purchased from a Crew Skills Vendor. You will want to use Reverse Engineering on any left over hilts that you have. It will take a minute to two minutes per combine.
Artifice 240 - 280
Make 20 of Blue, Green, Red (Resistance, Savage) Crystal
Materials Required:
and
Brocart Filaments
It doesn't matter what color crystal you craft, they all give you the same amount of skill points and they all Reverse Engineer into the same thing. The Solid Crystals and Ancient Artifact Fragment both come from Archaeology, the Brocart Filaments are purchased from a vendor or gained from a mid level Archaeology mission. Any left overs you have after crafting use Reverse Engineering on. It will take a minute to two minutes per combine.
Artifice 280 - 300
Make 10 of Defiant Defense Generator
Materials Required:
Brocart Filaments
You will be making the Defiant Defense Generators for 20 skill points until you can switch back to hilts. The Defiant Defense Generator requires Firkrann Crystals and Galactic Artifact Fragments to make as well as Brocart Filaments. The Firkrann Crystals and Galactic Artifact Fragments can both be gathered through Archaeology missions and the Brocart Filaments can be purchased from the Crew Skills Vendor. The time it takes to craft these items is roughly three minutes.
Artifice 300 - 320
Make 10 of Might or Resolve Hilt 17
Materials Required:
Brocart Filaments
You should know the deal by now when it comes to crafting hilts, you have two choices either Might or Resolve. Both of them require the same items to craft and award you with the same amount of skill points. The Firkrann Crystals and Hypertech Artifact Fragments can be gathered through mid level Archaeology missions and the Brocart Filaments can be purchased from a Crew Skills Vendor. You will want to use Reverse Engineering on any left over hilts that you have. It will take three minutes per combine.
Artifice 320 - 360
Make 20 of Blue, Green, Red (Deadly, Vitality) Crystal
Materials Required:
and
Brocart Filaments

Artifice 360 - 380
Make 10 of Entropic Power/Shield Generator

Zeyd-Cloth
These 20 skill points will be filled by making Entropic Power or Shield Generators. They require Damind Crystals and Alien Artifact Fragments to make as well as Zeyd-cloth which can be purchased from Crew Skills Vendors. Any generators you have you should use Reverse Engineering on to get some of your materials back. It takes close to four minutes to craft these items.
Artifice 380 - 400

Zeyd-Cloth
The final items you will be crafting with Artifice are Random Enhancement mods. You will need Damind Crystals, Alien Artifact Fragments and Zeyd-cloth to craft these items. Any left over Enhancement mods that you have you will want to use Reverse Engineering on.
