Stratholme Mageweave Cloth Farming (Cataclysm)

Now at first you may be like whaaaaaat Stratholme doesn't drop Mageweave! But, since the destruction of the world with Cataclysm it most definitely does! Stratholme is no longer the mid 50's instance we all remember and loved, Blizzard went and changed Strath to an upper 40's instance. I know, I know, you're probably just as upset as I was when I found out. No more Runecloth when farming for Baron's Mount =(

Anyway, lets skip the complaining and get down to business! Much like Zul'farrak Stratholme will net you a good amount of Mageweave per run, usually anywhere between 3 and 4 stacks. Now you can run Stratholme one or two ways, one is straight up for Mageweave which will involve you killing every single trash mob in the zone. The second way, which is what I normally do, is to run it specifically for Baron Rivendare's Mount. Now running it specifically for Baron's mount will involve running the instance more for less Mageweave but for a better shot (and faster) at a cool mount.

When it comes to farming Stratholme don't get stingy and only loot the Mageweave Cloth because mostly every other item here sells for at least a gold or 50s to a vendor. Now you may be like "Pssh, a gold? That's it?" But you have to think of how fast it will all add up. You loot 15 items and you have enough to buy another stack of Mageweave from the auction house! Another plus of farming here are the supply crates which contain potions and other goodies for people around level 50. The items you get from them won't sell for a lot but if you wanna loot them and donate them to your guild bank for lower level players I'm sure your guild will appreciate it.

One last thing if I must continue rambling about like my favorite zone, the chests here contain level 50 greens, which means they will disenchant into Illusion Dust and Greater Eternal Essences. If you're unaware of the value of those two items, let's just say they sell for a lot. And when I say a lot I do mean a lot. When you check the auction house your face will be like this =O
