Cinderbloom

Cinderbloom is one of the herbs you will be gathering in Hyjal for my 10k an hour farming guide. Now, if you don't have Herbalism as well as Mining on the character that is parked in Hyjal, well then obviously you won't be gathering any Cinderbloom. But, this page is here for anyone that does indeed have Herbalism as well as Mining. Now I usually try to keep some Cinderbloom as just Cinderbloom on the Auction House and then try to expand my market depending on what Tradeskills I have available to me.

Now of course you can just sell Cinderbloom as Cinderbloom and you don't ever need to make it into something else if you don't want to, it is just a recommendation since there is a much better chance of making a lot of money if you're not trying to sell all of a single item. Now to start, here are the things a player with Inscription can turn Cinderbloom into.

Blackfallow Ink

Inferno Ink

That is all you can turn Cinderbloom into through Inscription, or at least all that is worth it. Now it may not seem like much and you may be wondering what the conversion ratio is for doing this. On average you will recieve a few Ashen Pigment with each mill and a chance for Burning Embers. Ashen Pigment can be turned into Blackfallow Ink which goes for 90 - 120g a stack depending on the day/your server. The Burning Embers can be turned into Inferno Ink and sold for roughly 70g each.

It would be impossible to tell you how many Ashen Pigments and Burning Embers you will get because it is really completely random. Sometimes a single stack of Cinderbloom will yield 2 or 3x more than it's value if you didn't mill it and sometimes you will get less. Now, the next thing you can do with your Cinderbloom is make it into a potion and sell it that way. There are only two types of potions that use Cinderbloom and an additional material which you will need to buy.

Since this section will require you to buy an additional herb I only recommend doing it if that herb is cheap on your server. If it isn't then I recommend milling it or just selling it plain. Also both of these items that you can make with Cinderbloom are indeed potions. This means that if you are a Potion Master or can find a Potion Master to make them for you there is a chance you can massively further increase your profit from procs. If you go with a random person as your Potion Master make sure you speak with him before you even give him the materials and ask what his deal is.

A lot of people that master in Alchemy like to take all the procs for themselves as profit from the deal. Make sure you set a base price for making these potions for you that way you get the procs from them and he doesn't get to keep all your extra profit if he gets extremely lucky. Also, be grouped with him and near him. This will allow you to watch the procs that he gets and you will know you're getting the correct amount of potions back in return.
