Alterac Valley Guide

Alterac Valley is the biggest battleground in the game. The objective of this battleground is to reduce the opposing teams reinforcements to 0.

Decreasing Reinforcements

- Destroying a tower. 75 Reinforcements

- Kill a Player. 1 Reinforcement

- Kill the Opposing teams captain. All remaining reinforcements

- Kill Balinda or Galvenger. 100 Reinforcements

 Increasing Reinforcements

- The two mines can be captured by defeating the enemy boss within the mine. 1 Reinforcement

Things to Keep in Mind

- Every time your tower is destroyed you lose a War Marshall or a War Master.

- Vandarr and Drek'Thar cannot be pulled out of there Keeps, same as Balinda and Galvanger.

- If you are Horde and stuck trying to get into Dun Baldar don't fight on the bridge, run across.

- Periodically if Baldina and Galvanger are still alive they will grant a buff that increases everyone's health by 20% and the size of everyone on your faction.

- Turning in Armor Scraps will allow you to upgrade your troops.

- The Flesh and Medallions can be used to summon Windriders or Gryphons to help you.

- Storm Crystals and Blood can be used to summon Lok'holar and Ivus.

Offense

Most of the time you will probably find yourself on offense in this battleground. If you don't know what you're doing then just follow the large lump sum of people. Usually for Horde you attack Stonehearth, then Balinda first. As for Alliance, you attack Galvanger, Iceblood Tower then Iceblood Graveyard.

Defense

The most important thing to keep in mind as defense is you're objective is not to stop them. It is to slow them. At the start of Alterac Valley, the Horde defense group up at Iceblood Graveyard and the Alliance Defense stop at Stonehearth Graveyard.

Racing

Some times you can get both factions to mutually agree on racing in Alterac Valley. How this works is almost no one (suppose to be no one) stays on defense and both teams have the whole team race capping towers, graveyards, until they reach Vandar or Drek'thar.
