WoW Addons Guide - Healbot

Healbot is arguably one of the most useful addons for players looking to heal in raids. With this addon you're offered unique options to customize your ingame raid frames, set specifics for dispelling and curing debuffs, set trinkets to auto-trigger under certain conditions and also heal a player with a single click. First let's get into the raid frames that Healbot offers. They are extremely customizeable much like you can find in any other unit frame addon or raid frames addon out there. You can move them around and change the font, size, positioning and group sorting at any point during the raid or group.

While other unit frame or raid frame addons offer these exact unique customizable options what they don't have to go with it is the auto-trigger trinkets and the simple one-click-heal option which is a groundbreaking addition for phyiscally disabled players or players with neurocognitive impairment. After someone in my guild broke their hand and were forced to play with a cast they found it extremely hard to use the little stubs of their fingers to press hotkeys without hitting the other abilities around them, Healbot was there to help with that.

With their unbroken hand they were able to simple just left click on the target they wanted to heal and bam, all done! No hotkey presses required! Healbot has helped thousands of other disabled players around the world continue playing their beloved game despite whatever disabilities they may have. Once you download and install Healbot you can access the menu by typing "/hb o". A picture of the menu that pops up can be found below:

From here you can configure almost an endless stream of options, most of which were mentioned earlier on the page. Since there are dozens of addons out there that offer better (or equal too depending on personal preference) raid unit frames I will skip over that part and talk about what makes Healbot it's own unique addon, the single click heals.

When you click on the "Spells" tab a list of all the different options of which you can set to your left/right click buttons too comes up. You can do things like set left click to use Flash of Light on the target simply when you click them or you could set it so when you're holding a button like Ctrl or Alt to use a different ability when you left click them. This helps players heal with just a single keystroke, or mouse button press in this case. It's extremely helpful in situations where the player is unable to click a target and press an ability. Or unable to switch targets while the ability is channeling to prepare using a followup ability.

I would give the Healbot addon a 12/10 if I could. As a player who has met other gamers with Parinkson's Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis I can say that first hand Healbot greatly enhanced their gaming experience and made it possible for them to continue healing despite their crippling diagnosis.
