Afraid Gear is a strategy/simulation game developed by Office Creates and published by Asmik Ace Entertainment, Inc. It was released for the PlayStation console in 1998. The game allows players to build and customize mechas to compete in tournaments against other mechas, with the goal of winning money to purchase better parts and weapons.

The battle system in Afraid Gear is mostly automatic, although players can switch to manual mode for limited control over actions such as weapon selection and targeting. The game offers a unique gameplay experience with its combination of strategy, simulation, and mecha combat.
