Secret Character Door Locations

There are a total of 8 secret characters for you to unlock in Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. The Secret Characters are unique looking and have marginally more starting attributes than the regular characters you have access too. Each of the secret characters are hidden behind a secret character door.

This guide will tell you where each of those secret character doors is.

 

Ghost Town Secret Character Door (Medusa)

You can find the Hatch in Ghost Town behind the exit of the level. Head up the wooden walkways until you find the hatch that you see in my screen shot above. According to some places on the internet you'll have to hit every switch and every lever in the level or this door won't be here.

 

Dappet Peak Secret Character Door (Minotaur)

This secret location can be found just down and to the right of the level's exit. There's also a gargoyle guarding the door

 

Dungeon of Torment Secret Character Door (Falconess)

This one is quite easy to find, it's near the start of the level through two gates and being guarded by a Gargoyle.

 

Toxic Spire Secret Character Door (Unicorn)

This secret character location can be found through a series of lever/switch presses towards the end of the Toxic Spire level, once you're actually climbing the Toxic Spire. The levers and switches are about half way up the spire and you have to break down a secret wall to find the last one to hit. The hatch, once unlocked, is at the top of the spire after the elevator ride.

This secret location has a great sound track and it switches between good and evil with a record scratch. Love it, so cool.

 

Ancient Tree Secret Character Door (Tigress)

This is another one of the easy doors to find - you pass right by it and can see it while you're progressing through the level normally. Just before the door on the side of tree (seen in my first screen shot) you'll find a lever that you need to hit which will lower the barrier around the Secret Character Door.

 

Temple of the Magi Secret Character Door (Jackel)

This Secret Character Door is fairly easy for you to find if you're paying attention as you go through the level. While heading through the level shortly after reaching a part with a lever in the water you'll find this Secret Character door. The thing is, you cover it when you hit the level which you need to do to progress through the level!

You have to actually uncover the door again in order to access it. Just to the left of the door's location you'll be able to blast the wall open, as seen in my screen shot above. This will reveal a switch which will reveal another switch to move the statue.

 

 

Arctic Docks Secret Character Door (Ogre)

This secret character door is found towards the end of the level and it's enclosed in a cage with an undead bear (one of the golem-like enemies of this world). You pretty much pass by this door while progressing through the level normally.

 

Haunted House Secret Character Door (Hyena)

This door is surrounded by a puzzle of switches and levers you have to hit in order to access it. It's fairly easy to find and you literally pass right by it while going through the level normally so it won't be difficult at all to find.

This bonus level has some coins hidden behind walls you have to destroy. Both farm houses in the level have doors you can bust down to find coins.

 

 

Fortified Tower Secret Character Door (Sumner)

The Secret Character door in the Fortified Tower is at the very end of the level - within range of the exit portal! You have to run towards the bottom of the screen to find the door, if you need guidance just use my screen shot! The minigame to unlock Sumner (this secret character) is extremely tough since a majority of the screen is covered in darkness.
