Knights of the Round is a side-scrolling beat 'em up video game developed and published by Capcom. The game was first released in arcades in 1991, and later ported to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1994. Set in medieval Europe, Knights of the Round follows the adventures of King Arthur and his knights, Lancelot and Percival, as they battle through hordes of enemies to rid the land of evil. The gameplay involves progressing through levels while defeating enemies using a variety of weapons and abilities, including special attacks and magic spells. The game features cooperative play, allowing up to three players to control the three knights simultaneously. The SNES port of the game included additional content and gameplay features not present in the arcade version, such as a time attack mode and the ability to earn experience points to level up the player characters.
