Izzy's Quest for the Olympic Rings is a platformer video game based on the character Izzy, the official mascot of the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. The game was released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and was developed by Alexandria, Virginia-based Alexandria, Virginia and published by U.S. Gold. In the game, the player takes on the role of Izzy and travels through various levels, collecting Olympic rings and defeating enemies. The game features multiple worlds based on real-world locations, such as Australia and Greece, and a variety of power-ups and abilities to help Izzy on his journey. Despite the game's tie-in with the 1996 Olympics, it received mixed reviews from critics and was criticized for its generic platforming gameplay.
