Biohazard, known as Resident Evil in North America, is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom for the Sega Saturn console. It is the first installment in the iconic Resident Evil series, which has become one of the most popular and influential video game franchises of all time. Biohazard takes place in a mysterious mansion located in the outskirts of Raccoon City, where a series of bizarre and deadly incidents have occurred. Players take on the role of either Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, members of the elite Special Tactics and Rescue Service (STARS) team, as they investigate the mansion to uncover its dark secrets and survive the horrors within.

The gameplay of Biohazard revolves around exploration, puzzle-solving, and survival. Players must navigate through the mansion's rooms and hallways, solving puzzles, finding items, and uncovering clues to progress while facing various mutated creatures, zombies, and other monsters. Combat is often challenging, with limited ammunition and resources, and players must manage their inventory and health carefully to survive.
