Mega Man X4 is a side-scrolling action-platformer video game that was released for multiple platforms, including the Sega Saturn, in 1997. It was developed and published by Capcom, a renowned Japanese video game company known for its iconic Mega Man franchise. In Mega Man X4, players control the protagonist Mega Man X, a Maverick Hunter, as he battles against rogue Reploids, known as Mavericks, who pose a threat to humanity. Players can choose to play as either Mega Man X or his ally Zero, each with their unique abilities and playstyle.
