Phantasy Star Portable is an action role-playing video game that was released in 2008. The game was developed by Alfa System and published by SEGA for the PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld gaming console. Phantasy Star Portable is part of the Phantasy Star series, which is a popular sci-fi/fantasy role-playing game franchise that has been around since the 1980s. In Phantasy Star Portable, players create their own customizable character, known as a Guardian, and embark on an adventure in the Gurhal System to defeat evil forces threatening the universe.

The gameplay of Phantasy Star Portable features real-time combat with a variety of weapons and abilities, as well as character customization, equipment upgrading, and a loot system with a wide array of items to collect. Players can team up with other players in multiplayer mode to tackle missions and quests together, or play through the story mode solo.
