The Path of Warriors - Skellige

You can begin this quest one of two ways, the first of which is by speaking with the Skellige woman in the middle of Urialla Harbor, a town on the island in northeastern Skellige. The second way of starting it is by speaking with Gunnar who is at the Trail to Yngvar's Fang on the northeastern portion of the island.

If you don't start this quest by speaking with Gunnar your first objective of the quest will be to speak with him. Go through all of his dialogue to learn about the mountain pass and to update your quest. When you're ready, head up the mountain! There will be some gaps you have to jump over and Harpies you have to shoot out of the air... but the most difficult obstacle to over come will be this game's controls.

Hopefully you're used to using your Crossbow because you'll have to shoot down the majority of the Harpies and then try to kill them while they're on the ground without falling off the mountain yourself. Aard and Igni work too for shooting down the Harpies. Additionally, once Geralt pulls out his sword try not to move around a lot as he'll dodge roll right off the mountain.

The Path of Warriors Man Outside Hut

At one point the path you're on will "end" and drop off onto another path which is human made. It runs parallel to our path and it leads you to an abandoned castle with Wraiths and Crafting Diagrams for Ursuine Armor. You can get back to our path very easily if you get side tracked and find yourself in this area.

Eventually you'll find a man sitting outside a small hut along side of the path you're following (pictured above) he is a marker letting you know that you're very close to the top of the mountain. At the top of the mountain you'll find a Place of Power (which gives a Quen buff - remember this location!!!!!!) a Signpost, a few treasure chests and last but not least our Trial of Dexterity Completion Token (pictured below).

Loot this token to complete this part of the quest. On the western end of this area you'll find a small path that leads to a very steep decline that you will want to slide down to reach our next destination. You'll most likely get the Rad Steez, Bro! Achievement for sliding down this hill uninterrupted for 10 seconds as well.

Trial of Dexterity Completion Token

At the bottom of the hill you will find a cave entrance which is our next destination. If you're having trouble locating it - the exact location of the entrance is marked on your compass/map. I'd recommend using any Killer Whale Potions that you have as we're going to be doing a lot of underwater diving for this next part.

The item we're looking for is found in a chest that will glow red when you use your Witcher Senses underwater. It's in the back of the cave right before where you would come up for air at. Once you've obtained this item you'll want to climb out of the cave using the ledges in this area (pictured below). Use a Cat's Eye Potion if you're having trouble seeing. What you're looking for is a ledge that you can jump to which leads you to the path out of the cave.

Return to Gunnar who is now at a camp nearby the Trail to Yngvar's Fang. If you approach him and he is cowering in fear then you'll need to hunt down the wolves in the area or take out the bear. Then you'll be able to talk to him and turn in the quest.
