The Dwarven Document Dilemma - Novigrad

This quest is started by speaking with Rostan Muggs who is found along the road south from the Southern Gate of Novigrad. It's not hard to spot him, the "!" for the quest will appear on your compass when you get close enough.

After speaking with Muggs travel to the quest marker, you'll find a bottle of dwarven moonshine here which you will need to inspect for a scent. Follow the smell to a man named Gerd just outside of the tavern/inn at the Seven Cats Inn.

You will have several different dialogue choices to choose from at Gerd - the Axii choice will give you EXP as it always does. Demanding the documents will lead to a fist fight and the only other option is to beat him at Gwent. The other choices on this list will not get you the documents.

Once you've obtained the documents all you have left for this quest is to return to Rostan Muggs and turn them in. You can confront him about the truth if you learned it from Gerd as well, but that's entirely your choice. So long as you give the documents to Rostan Muggs the quest will be completed.
