Contract: Lord of the Wood - Novigrad
Area: Novigrad
Location: Cunny of the Goose Lodge
Quest Giver: Farcorners' Notice Board or Cunny of the Goose's Notice Board
Other Requirements: N/A
This quest is started by accepting the notice from the Cunny of the Goose's Notice Board or from the Farcorners' Notice Board. Despite this quest taking place in the Novigrad region which has enemies in its teens, the boss for this quest will be much harder/higher level.
Upon speaking to the contract issuer the quest will update with two different locations. Interrogate the witnesses at the Cunny of the Goose lodge in a portion of Velen just south of Novigrad and when you're done there head northwest to the Loggers Hut. When you arrive your quest will update, suggesting you use your Witcher Senses to investigate.
Search the wheel marks the wagon left and follow them southwest from the Loggers Hut. They'll eventually lead you to an overturned wagon which you will want to investigate for clues. Examine the sword, blood, dwarf foot prints, claw marks on the nearby stone and the two nearby bodies.
Geralt will deduce that monster is a Leshen and you'll be tasked with locating the totem next. There are multiple locations marked on your map/compass, use your Witcher Senses to visit each one until you find the totem (southern most quest marker).
If you've never battled a Leshen before they are pretty easy so long as you remember the 5 Ds of dodgeball. So long as you master the 5 Ds of dodgeball, the Leshen will never touch you (meaning dodge; just dodge him). Throughout the fight the Leshen will teleport around, vanishing in a cloud of ravens and reappearing in different areas.
Aside from a regular melee attack he occasionally will teleport behind Geralt and appear in a cloud of Ravens to strike you. He also has a long range attack where roots will fly out of the ground to impale you. Those are the most noteable attacks, this boss is pretty easy to dodge and it's a good thing because when he does hit you it really hurts.
Leshen Weaknesses: Dimeritium Bomb, Relict Oil and Igni
