A Tome Entombed - Novigrad

This quest begins in the Novigrad Sewers by speaking with Professor Vairmont Jonne, as shown in the screen shot above. If you're having trouble finding the way into the sewers I recommend you use my screen shots below for further guidance. Once inside of the sewers you'll need to make a left when the path splits until you come to a wall that you can Aard down (pictured below).

Aard the weak wall then go into the tunnels until you find Vairmont Jonne next to a sarcophagus trying to open it. Agree to help him and you'll open the sarcophagus to meet the vampire sleeping inside. He'll be unhappy and tell you to piss off before closing the sarcophagus. Remind you of anyone?

In order to complete this quest you'll need to open the sarcophagus a second time. Refusing to open it means the quest will just hang at this part until you decide to open it. As you may have already guessed, you'll have to fight the Vampire in order to complete this quest as well. He'll transform into a Katakan and the fight is the same as it is against all Katakans.

How to Reach Vairmont Jonne & Novigrad Sewers

To reach the Novigrad Sewers you'll need to go into one of the towers nearby the Tretogor Gate Signpost on cities border. From this Signpost if you run across the bridge and into Novigrad there will be a tower immediately to your right (pictured above) that you can enter.

In one of the rooms of this tower you'll find a few ladders that you can climb down before you finally reach the sewers. Once in the sewers go left at the first fork and keep an eye on your compass, there will be a path to the west that is shown on your compass but is blocked off by a wall. This is where you need to go.
