Contract: Feet as Cold as Ice - Toussaint (Blood and Wine)
Area: Toussaint
Location: Beauclair - Nilfgaardian Embassy Signpost
Quest Giver: Jacquette
Other Requirements: N/A
This quest begins by speaking with Jacquette (pictured above) near the Nilfgaardian Embassy Signpost in Beauclair. You can't accept this quest off of any of the Notice Boards in Toussaint. For the first part of this quest you'll need to find Francois who is northwest of the Beauclair Palace Signpost.
You'll find Francois in the southwestern portion of the quest circle, he's sitting nearby a camp up on a hill (pictured below). Speak with him to update your quest then follow him into the nearby cave. Technically you can let him go in alone and die if you want - it'll still let you finish the quest and you'll be able to get more loot this way as well.
Note: If you choose to let Francois go in and die, you'll need to go in and examine his body but you won't have to actually kill the monster inside this cave.
Inside of this cave you'll find four different things that glow red when using your Witcher Senses, you have to inspect them all in order to continue with the quest. These objects are, the bones and tools on the southern side of the cave (just outside of the water) and the flowers arround the lake. You'll also find vines which are wiggling around in the southern most portion of the cave and a cradle next to them that you should inspect.
Once you have found the majority of the items that glow red your quest will update and you'll have to read the Grottore Beastiary entry. After reading the bestiary Geralt will come up with the idea of lighting the plants on fire with Igni to draw out the Grottore.
Grottore Weaknesses: Dimeritium Bomb, Relict Oil and Igni
With the fight over there will be a scene during which you must decide whether or not to give Francois the head of the beast. If you give it to him he'll return to Beauclair and live happily ever after (maybe). Otherwise he'll go on another beast expedition and likely end up dead.
The Grottore Trophy only has +5% chance to find an additional herb so it's nothing unique. All that is left of this quest now is to return to Jacquette in Beauclair and speak with her, you'll receive your reward and the quest completes.
