A Better Force Stealer - Hammerhead

You're able to accept this quest after obtaining the Force Stealer item which you get for trading Caem Carrots to Tony. In order to obtain these carrots you'll first need to complete the side quest Living off the Land during Chapter 8. Select the "weapons" option at Tony and you'll receive either the Plunderers, Force Stealer, Valiant or an Absorb Shield, which are all other items that you can upgrade at Cid.

For this quest you'll need to obtain the Monster Claw item for Cid which is a drop from a Bandersnatch enemy. There is a Bandersnatch at the end of the Malmalam Thicket Dungeon but he can only be defeated once and does not respawn. As an alternative you can accept the Malmalam Mirage Hunt from Old Lestallum which will give you a repeatable Bandersnatch you can defeat in the same location as the Malmalam Thicket boss.

Last but not least there is another Bandersnatch that you can find north of Hammerhead, shown in the screen shot below. This Bandersnatch only appears on days 3 and 12 of the month, however, and it's a Timed Quest which awards 100 QP.
