Police Station Side Quests - Mega Man Legends

The Police Station in the City Hall portion of town has 2 Side Quests that you're able to complete once the building is fully repaired and once you've advanced the story far enough. In order to start these quests you'll want to go into the back room marked "Section" and talk with the Inspector (pictured above).

Both of these quests are relatively easy and straight forward although I would recommend you save before doing the first one as it's possible to mess it up and lose part of your reward. Information about both of these side quests can be found below.

 

 

Disarm The Bombs!

Requirements: Obtain Yellow Refractor Shard & Jump Springs

You can start this quest after you obtain the Yellow Refractor Shard from inside of the Cardon Forest Sub-Gate. For this quest you're tasked with visiting the Downtown portion of the city and finding 2 bombs that are in randomized locations. One of the bombs is always found on the ground and one of them is always found on the rooftops.

Speak with the townsfolk throughout the Downtown portion to learn the location of the explosives. The one on the ground can be hard to find since you can't see it from very far away but the one on the rooftops is much easier to find in my opinion. Once you locate the ground explosive jump onto the rooftops and start looking around - you should be able to find the next without much issue.

Each bomb that you disarm will give you an item and if you fail to disarm one of the bombs then you'll lose that reward. Your rewards for this quest include a Bomb and Plastique items.

 

Retrieve The Stolen Money

Requirements: Obtain the Red Refractor Shard & Complete the first quest

This quest begins the same way as the first one, you'll want to speak with the Inspector in the back room of the Police Station. In order to begin this quest you need to have completed the first one that the Inspector gives you and you'll also need to obtain the Red Refractor Shard from the Lake Jyun Sub-Gate. Once both these things are complete you'll be able to start this quest.

For this quest you need to do a lot of running around and talking to various people throughout town. Unlike the previous quest there is no time limit for this one so you can do it as slowly or as quickly as you'd like. To make it easier for you I have put together a list of each step you need to complete before you're able to locate the money.

1. Talk with the Inspector to start the quest
2. Speak with the Flustered Man in the Police Station lobby
3. Visit the Electronic Shop in the Apple Market and talk with the owner
4. Go to the Bakery in the Apple Market and speak to the owner too
5. Head to the Library in Downtown and talk with the Librarian
6. Talk to the girl near the Soda Machine in the northeastern part of Downtown
7. Next, go to the northwestern portion of Downtown and talk with the angry kid near the trash can
8. Open the trash can near the final kid to retrieve the lost money

When talking to the final kid near the trash can you'll have to initiate dialogue a few times to get the information you want. At first he'll just complain about being angry but eventually he'll tell you that he threw the bag you're looking for into the nearby trash can. Retrieve it and then return to the Inspector in the Police Station for your reward (which will be an Arm Supporter).
