Gilgamesh Card - FF8 Guide

The Gilgamesh Card is won from King, the leader of the Card Club Group. In order to face off against King you'll need to complete the Card Club Side Quest which first becomes available during Disc 2. Once you've completed the side quest you can face King any time you want in the Balamb Garden bridge (pictured above).

Despite what many guides say online, Quistis plays the Gilgamesh Card even before you beat her and complete the Card Club Side Quest. I won mine on the first game played with her and didn't even need to play her a second time in the bridge.

The Gilgamesh Card can be Card Moded into 10 Holy War items, which, when used, grant invulnerability to your entire group. You can further refine these items into the Knight's Code item with the GFAbl Med-RF which will teach a GF the Cover Ability.

If you'd like to take it one step further, Knight's Code can be turned into Vit Up items using the Forbid Med-RF GF Ability. You'll get 5 Knight's Code abilities per Holy Water and you get a 1:1 conversion ratio on Knight's Code into Vit Up. That would give you a total of 50 Vit Ups from Card Moding the Gilgamesh Card. I personally believe this is the best use of the Gilgamesh Card.
