Source Farming in the Sunken Gelnika - FF7 Guide

In Final Fantasy 7 Sources are items which permanently increase a character's stat by 1 point each time they are used. You're probably already familiar with these items as you find lots of them throughout the game from chests and from completing quests, like the Turtle's Paradise Flyers Side Quest.

However once you reach the Sunken Gelnika dungeon on Disc 2 after you acquire your submarine you'll be able to farm an unlimited amount of sources at any time. All of the enemies in this dungeon can be Morphed into one of the different source items in the game.

In order to Morph an enemy you'll need to defeat them with the Morph Command, which is given to you by Morph Materia. For those of you out there who have used Morph before, you're probably familiar with how little damage it does.... Luckily there is a way around this!

Within the Sunken Gelnika you'll find Yuffie's Ultimate Weapon the Conformer. This weapon ignores the Morph damage limitations and hits for full damage even when using Morph. There's no other weapons like this in all of FF7 so if you want to Morph you'll have to have Yuffie in your party.
