Fear Effect Walkthrough - Disc 3
When you begin Disc 3 you will be in control of Glas in a very small room. To escape you'll need to pick up the Cooking Oil and then [Use] the pot near it to trigger a scene. Our next step is time sensitive, you need to use the Cooking Oil that we just got on the floor in the middle of the room. If you look closely at the floor you'll notice 5 grates which the oil will drain through. In the upper middle there is no grate, just an odd looking square shape which is all floor.
Stand over top of the odd looking square shape and use the Cooking Oil, Glas will pour it on the ground and then a guard will bust into the room. For this next part you will need to hide in the top left corner (crouched) to lure the guard to the poured oil. If he attacks you, try rolling around instead--it makes it much harder to lure him anywhere but there isn't many other options once he latches onto you.
Once the guard is subdued, exit the room and approach the kitchen to trigger a scene. You'll find yourself in control of Deke when the scene is finished, this part will be your first real puzzle of the Disc and it's an annoying one. For this puzzle you need to walk across the windows while avoiding any broken ones. Each time the spot lights go across the windows you will see some that are broken, but not all.
The path you need to take across the windows is shown in my screenshot below, just follow the blue line and you will be safe.
Once you get across you'll find a Mobile Phone Save Spot right next to the window that you need to go inside. Going into the window will trigger a cutscene where your perspective will switch again, this time back to Glas. Our next puzzle is another one that I find to be annoying. You need to sneak through the kitchen while avoiding the chef's line of sight, if they see you it is an instant Game Over.
My advice is to watch the chefs for a bit to learn their movement patterns. Another good tip is the chefs are basically blind, they don't see in a frontal cone but rather a very straight line directly in front of them. For example, in the first area you can stand on the mat between the first two chefs as you wait to cross between the next two. Despite being basically right next to the chef in front of you, he won't see you when he turns around.
Your destination is the sprinkler switch which is on the far side of the kitchen. When you finally reach it, you'll be free to stand up and pull the switch (standing up at any point before this = Game Over). There will be a short scene after which you'll be thrown into combat with Glas. Defeat the enemies and make your way through the next few rooms. When you reach the front doors to Madam Chen's restaurant, open them for a scene.
The perspective will switch to Hana and you'll start right where Glas left off. Our first destination with Hana will be the changing room which is inbetween the kitchen and the lobby. I've included a picture below, we will be coming back to this area/room multiple times throughout this Disc.
The Changing Room
Inside the changing room you'll want to approach the blind and change, there will be a short scene. For this next part, don't take out any guns with Hana. She blends in dressed like this and no one bothers you. Exit the room and go straight across to another door; this will take you upstairs and into a new area.
When you first go upstairs you'll trigger a scene. You'll be going back and forth through this upstairs portion a lot so let me explain it. Both sides have dead ends, one has a blue wall that looks like a door and the other has a glass window. Our destination is the red/brown door near the glass window.
Entering the red/brown door will trigger a scene with Deke. This is one of my favorite scenes of the game because Deke asks Hana, "This is still business, right luv?" and she tells him "Not anymore". Deke got a crimson red flag and decided not to walk away.
Your perspective will change to Deke again, our goal is to visit the room on this floor across from the stairs and pick up the Coin item which is on a table. Once you get this item go into the room on this floor that has the Puppet Show Box (pictured below). This box is found inbetween the room where you got the Coin and the room where Deke first began.

For this puzzle you will need to choose the poses in the right order. You can use my picture above, look at the blue numbers that I wrote on each of the figures to see the right order. Alternatively, you can use my list below if you can't see the blue numbers or if you just prefer text directions.

Completing the puzzle will trigger a scene, when you regain control of Deke you'll be in an entirely new area. Exit the door and go across the room, there is a doorway and a hallway on the other side. First go into the door and grab the Elevator Key and then exit the room and go down the hallway. You will find the elevator we need to ride at the end of this hallway.
After you disembark the elevator you'll want to go straight across the room first. There is a Wrench that you need to pick up in the small tool room. Our next destination is down the stairs and the hall, inside the room down here you'll find a large machine with steam blowing all over it. You need to approach the machine and use the Wrench on it when prompted.
Doing this will turn off the steam and make water flow in another room. Pick up the Madam Room Key and then go back up the elevator to the previous area. There is a large set of double doors with a tree design on it, use the key you just got here and you will trigger a scene.
When the scene is finished you will find yourself back in control of Glas. Head upstairs with Glas, you'll need to go through the door across from the changing room (use the picture above if you forget the location). Once upstairs, go down the opposite hallway this time to the section that dead ends with a bluish wall. The guard here will drop the Lounge Key item which we need to open the purple door in this same hallway.
Use the door to the right when you enter the lounge and you will get a cutscene. There is a girl on the bed and a guard with a machine gun under it--this is the scenario for the next boss fight. During this entire fight there will be a girl on the bed freaking out and a guard shooting around the bed. Red dots will mark the next spot he shoots and you will need to dodge these locations.
After a few rounds of spray and pray he will pop out on one side of the bed. You'll need to shoot him during this moment to damage him, if you shoot at any other time you'll hit the girl and get a Game Over. Each time you hit him he will pop out on the opposite side of the bed.
There will be another scene when this fight is over, Glas learns just like Deke why they should have walked away when it became about a personal vendetta and not business. When the scene is over you'll find yourself back in control of Hana. Go into the door right next to where you begin and grab the White Vase that is inside.
Next, exit the room and head towards the purple door that leads to where Glas just was at the opposite end of the hallway. Check the rooms along the way, one of them has a guard inside which will drop the Lounge Key once you defeat him.
Once you enter the lounge, go in the opposite direction of Glas and follow the linear path to the fountain Deke turned on. You'll want to pick up the Flowers that are here. When you approach the fountain you'll get a pop up for [Use] but won't see the actual item you're picking up.
With the Flowers in hand, go back down the hallway we just came from and defeat the new guards, one will drop an Office Key which you'll want to pick up. Keep going down the hallway until you exit, then use the Office Key on the locked door right next to you (the same room with the girls from earlier).
Use the elevator inside the office room and ride it up to the area we were in with Deke previously (this is also where Madam Chen's room is). Enter the brown double doors and pick up the Black Vase that is inside. You'll find this vase on the right hand side of the room--it's ontop of a piece of furniture.
Now that you have both vases' it's time to go to Madam Chen's room, if you have forgotten it's straight across the hall from where we got the Black Vase. In order to access this room you'll need to solve a puzzle (shown below).
For this puzzle, the White Vase goes onto the left pedestal and the Black Vase goes onto the right pedestal. Once both are placed you will need to choose a flower for each, in the White Vase you'll use the Fresh Sunflower and in the Black Vase you will use the Wilted Canna Lily.

Solving the puzzle will open the door and trigger a scene. When it's over, you'll need to return to the changing room with Hana. That means riding the elevator down and back tracking through all the previous areas until you go back down the stairs. One tip for this part is try to avoid combat, when you leave the room the enemies won't follow you which means you don't have to waste ammo on them.
When you reach the top of the stairs you will get a scene with Glas and Wee Ming, continue to the changing room when it is over. Inside the changing room you will also find the Meat Locker Key which we need for our next task. You will find the meat locker next to the changing room in the kitchen, use the key on the door for another scene.
After the scene follow the noise of the saw and enter the next room, you'll trigger another scene and a boss fight. This fight is fairly straight forward, Madam Chen will summon a fire shield to protect her and adds to fight you on her behalf. When you defeat these adds they will drop Paper Madam Chen which you need to pick up.
In order to beat this boss you'll need to use the Paper Madam Chen dolls you pick up while standing next to her fire. This will force her back into human form and remove the fire protecting her, shoot her while she is like this to damage her. Rinse and repeat this until she has been defeated.
You will get one more scene before the conclusion of Disc 3.
