Quest #024 Battering Butterflies - Zere

Quest Requirements: Scare 10 Betterflies from battle (Level 25 or higher)

Reward: Seed of Defense; Toad Oil when repeating the quest

This quest is acquired from a man wearing a hat just outside the church in the town of Zere. For this quest all you have to do is go into battle with 10 Betterfly enemies and basically do nothing but Defend until they flee. In order to scare a Betterfly enough to make them flee you'll need a character that is at least level 25 or higher.

You'll find the Betterfly enemies south of Zere one screen down. Just search the farmland area that's circled on my map below and you'll encounter Betterflies fairly commonly on the world map. When you're done return to the man who offered you the quest for the reward.

Keep in mind too that you can repeat this quest again in the future but instead of a Seed of Defense you'll be given Toad Oil. The oil is used in many different Alchemy recipes and you'll definitely need a few throughout the game if you plan to do sidequests. They drop from toads too though - so this isn't your only option for acquiring it!
