At the stage select screen use Left and Right to select your stage and Start to enter.

Enables level select and extra lives cheats: BTLA-AA8R
Level Select: Press any button at the Stage 1 Start screen; Left and Right to select the level and Start to enter.
Extra Lives: While ingame pause and press any button to add extra lives.
