A button: Confirm selection, talk to characters
B button: Cancel selection, go back
L button: Open menu, advance text
R button: Press twice to use Mega Buster, hold down to charge up Mega Buster
Start: Pause game, access menu
Select: Access PET

 

During battle:

D-Pad: Move Mega Man
A button: Select chip, confirm selection
B button: Cancel chip selection
L button: Scroll through chips in folder
R button: Use Mega Buster, hold down to charge up Mega Buster
Start: Open custom menu
